The foundation’s launch coincides with the “Year of the Community,” reflecting the enduring legacy of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, who firmly believed in education as the cornerstone for a brighter future. His Highness Sheikh Mohamed emphasized that the creation of the Zayed Education Foundation underscores the UAE’s commitment to fostering collaboration for a more prosperous and developed world. He highlighted that the foundation will serve as a platform for talented young leaders from the UAE, the region, and globally to engage in study, research, innovation, and cooperative efforts for the betterment of humanity.
Echoing this sentiment, Her Highness Sheikha Mariam bint Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairperson of the Presidential Court for National Projects, noted that the UAE has long been a hub for individuals with intellect, talent, and ambitious aspirations. Through the Zayed Education Foundation, the UAE is expanding opportunities for young leaders worldwide to contribute their knowledge and innovations toward building a more sustainable, inclusive, and prosperous future.
The foundation plans to establish a global network of young leaders, reinforcing the UAE’s dedication to supporting sustainable development both regionally and internationally. Central to its mission is the “Zayed Scholarship” program, which offers merit-based university scholarships coupled with intensive leadership training.
