In a powerful affirmation of the United Arab Emirates’ rising status as a leading global tourism destination, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, highlighted the nation’s remarkable achievements during his visit to the Arabian Travel Market 2025.

This year’s Arabian Travel Market, held in Dubai, marked its largest edition yet, bringing together over 2,800 exhibitors from 166 countries and more than 55,000 professionals from the global travel and tourism industry. Sheikh Mohammed emphasized that the UAE’s vision goes beyond national interests, focusing on building international partnerships and fostering shared progress.

“Our approach is centered on creating meaningful connections and activating real partnerships to drive global development,” Sheikh Mohammed stated. He underscored the UAE’s continuous investments in strengthening its economic potential and expanding tourism infrastructure, in line with the leadership’s long-term vision.

Reflecting on the UAE’s achievements, Sheikh Mohammed shared that the country welcomed an unprecedented 30.7 million tourists last year, with total tourism spending reaching approximately AED 250 billion. He also announced that UAE airports are on track to receive a record 150 million passengers this year.

Sheikh Mohammed described these numbers as a testament to the UAE’s successful trajectory, positioning the country as one of the world’s top models for tourism and investment. “We celebrate with pride that our nation has become a global destination, as recognized by the world,” he remarked.

He also highlighted tourism’s role as a gateway for cultural and economic exchange, expressing confidence in its power to enhance the UAE’s global influence while staying rooted in the country’s heritage and values.

Sheikh Mohammed’s visit to the Arabian Travel Market reaffirmed the UAE’s strategic focus on tourism as a key pillar of its diversified economy, while reinforcing the country’s commitment to international cooperation and sustainable growth.
