In a powerful testament to the growing momentum behind digital transformation, Emirates Group inaugurated the third annual edition of its flagship innovation event, ForsaTEK 2025. Held at the group’s headquarters in Dubai, the event was officially opened by His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline and Group, in the presence of Minister of Education Sarah Al Amiri and senior executives.
This year’s edition took innovation to new heights with over 40 pioneering projects, spanning in-house inventions and external collaborations. The event spotlighted the latest in artificial intelligence, robotics, and smart technologies, underscoring the company’s commitment to creating a future-ready ecosystem.
“Building on the success of previous years, ForsaTEK 2025 demonstrates our unwavering commitment to fostering next-generation innovation, expanding on existing tech solutions, and supporting startups through a robust testbed environment,” said Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed. “This event showcases our strategic vision to drive AI and digital advancement and aims to inspire a culture of innovation across the organization.”
Among the featured technologies were autonomous security robots from Transguard and Emirates Group Security, a drone-powered inventory system by dnata Cargo, and 3D printing solutions for custom aircraft parts. Emirates Airport Services also presented AI-driven analytics for flight operations, enhancing resource management and passenger experience.
The event’s interactive “Experience Zone” highlighted inclusivity in travel with devices like the smart “Glidance” mobility aid for the visually impaired, the sensory-friendly “JeffCAN” media chair, and accessible Airbus cabin prototypes. Meanwhile, engineering innovations included AI tools for engine part inspection, mixed-reality maintenance via Apple Vision Pro, and drone inspections for safer, quicker aircraft assessments.
Thirteen tech startups pitched their concepts to a panel of industry leaders and investors, while an open innovation area allowed attendees to explore the journey of creativity and problem-solving within Emirates Group.
Minister Sarah Al Amiri delivered the opening address, emphasizing the transformative impact of technology on education and how AI integration across schools is preparing the UAE’s youth for a rapidly evolving global landscape.
Emirates Group also introduced “Afaakar” — a new internal digital platform designed to empower employees across all roles to contribute actionable ideas. The winning concept for 2025: an automated visa verification process to streamline the travel experience.
ForsaTEK 2025 not only reaffirms Emirates Group’s role at the forefront of aviation tech but also sets a bold course for how technology and human ingenuity can shape the future of travel.
