Dubai Duty Free has reported robust sales performance for the first half of 2025, with total revenue reaching AED 4.118 billion (approximately USD 1.128 billion). This marks a 5.34% increase compared to the same period last year, surpassing its previous half-year sales record by AED 208.95 million (USD 57.24 million).

The impressive growth was largely fuelled by a surge in passenger traffic during April and May, as well as in early June. This coincided with the Eid Al Fitr holidays and the early start of the summer travel season, both of which boosted shopping activity at Dubai International Airport.

Commenting on the results, Ramesh Cidambi, Chief Operating Officer of Dubai Duty Free, expressed satisfaction with the record-breaking performance, saying:

“We are very pleased with our strong results for the first half of 2025. While we await the final passenger numbers for June, initial indications show that average spend per traveller has also increased compared to June last year.”

Cidambi emphasised that these results reflect the hard work and commitment of the Dubai Duty Free team towards sustainable growth, reinforcing Dubai’s position as a leading global travel hub.

Looking ahead, he added that the retailer remains optimistic about achieving similar record results in the second half of the year. Dubai Duty Free is preparing to open three new luxury boutiques in Concourse A of Terminal 3 at Dubai International Airport later this year. The upcoming stores will include prestigious brands such as Louis Vuitton, Chanel, and Cartier, further enhancing the luxury shopping experience for travellers passing through Dubai.
