The Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation for Medical and Educational Sciences has launched its 2025 summer camp for gifted students under the theme “Skills of Tomorrow.” Held at Al Shindagha Museum in Dubai, the camp gathers 130 talented and innovative students from across the Emirates for two weeks of intensive learning and creativity.
Hamid Mohammed Al Qatami, Chairman of the Foundation’s Board of Trustees, emphasized that this summer program is a key milestone in their ongoing efforts to provide educational and knowledge-based opportunities to students during their vacation. He noted that the initiative aligns with the UAE’s national strategies to nurture a generation capable of innovation and global competitiveness.
“This year’s theme, ‘Skills of Tomorrow,’ reflects our commitment to creating advanced learning environments where students can enhance their knowledge and skills,” Al Qatami stated. “It instills in them the spirit of leadership and social responsibility, preparing a promising national workforce equipped to contribute confidently and competently to building the future.”
Dr. Maryam Al Ghaoui, Director of the Hamdan Bin Rashid Center for Giftedness and Innovation, highlighted that the camp focuses on discovering and nurturing talented students and strengthening the capabilities of young innovators through specialized training workshops.
She added that students enrolled in the talent programs are assessed through the Hamdan Giftedness Scale, a nationally accredited tool designed to identify gifted students. To date, this scale has been implemented for over 40,000 students in both public and private schools, marking it as the first of its kind in the UAE.
