The Dubai Health Authority recently hosted a distinguished delegation of 20 health leaders from around the globe, invited as part of the “International Program for Health Leadership,” organized by the Government’s Knowledge Exchange Office under the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs. The initiative aims to foster global best-practice sharing and strengthen knowledge partnerships among health institutions.
During their visit, the delegation explored Dubai’s pioneering advancements in healthcare—particularly in sustainability and care quality—highlighting the emirate’s growing global standing in public health and quality of life rankings. They dive into the structural transformation of Dubai’s healthcare ecosystem and its long-term strategic direction. A spotlight was also placed on public health protection systems and robust epidemic prevention measures.
The group studied Dubai’s health regulatory frameworks, policies, and standards, reflecting the Authority’s forward-thinking vision for licensing, accrediting health professionals and facilities. They also reviewed the integrated health insurance model and the sustainable financing mechanisms that underpin service continuity and economic resilience.
A highlight of the visit was a specialized presentation on the Family Health Survey results—demonstrating how rigorous data collection supports evidence-based decision-making, strategic policy planning, and scientific research.
The delegation also embarked on a field tour of the Authority’s dedicated Disaster and Crisis Center. There, officials provided in-depth briefings on the center’s emergency preparedness architecture, illustrating DHA’s comprehensive response strategies and the modern technologies at the center’s core.
Dr. Alawi Alsheikh Ali, Director General of the DHA, affirmed the Authority’s ongoing commitment to building a fully integrated, future-ready healthcare system aligned with Dubai’s ambitious vision—underscoring that advancing such readiness remains a top priority in the emirate government’s agenda.
