Under the guidance of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and with the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy, the 27th edition of the Water, Energy, Technology, and Environment Exhibition (WETEX) will be held from September 30 to October 2, 2025, at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
Organized by the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), WETEX 2025 underscores the UAE’s growing influence in the fields of renewable energy, environmental innovation, and green economic development. The exhibition aligns with Dubai’s strategic vision of building a sustainable, low-carbon economy and further solidifies the emirate’s position as a global leader in clean energy.
The exhibition will span various sectors, including water, clean and renewable energy, smart cities, green mobility, artificial intelligence, and digital transformation. It serves as a critical platform for government and private entities to come together, showcase the latest innovations, and form strategic partnerships that advance sustainable development goals.
Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Managing Director and CEO of DEWA and Founder and Chairman of WETEX, highlighted the importance of the event, stating that it reflects the UAE’s unwavering commitment to sustainability and strengthens Dubai’s position as a leading global hub for the green economy. He emphasized that WETEX provides a vital space for presenting innovative technologies and supporting collaborations that contribute to global climate objectives.
Each year, WETEX draws key players from across the world, including industry leaders, investors, innovators, and policymakers. The event facilitates knowledge exchange, opens new business opportunities, and encourages international cooperation to accelerate the transition to a more resilient and sustainable future.
WETEX has grown significantly since its inception. In 2024, the exhibition attracted over 50,000 visitors and more than 2,800 exhibitors from 65 countries, including 21 national pavilions. The upcoming 2025 edition is expected to surpass these numbers, offering new avenues for investment, innovation, and meaningful impact on the global sustainability agenda.
WETEX 2025 will not only reinforce the UAE’s leadership in sustainable development but also serve as a key driver in opening new international markets, fostering climate action, and supporting the global movement toward a greener and more inclusive future.
