Mohammed bin Rashid Leadership Forum

At the inauguration of the Mohammed bin Rashid Leadership Forum, His Excellency Mohammed Abdullah Al Gergawi, Chairman of the Executive Office of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Chairman of the Mohammed bin Rashid Center for Leadership Development, delivered an inspiring keynote address that underscored a core principle: leadership in the UAE is a responsibility, not a title.

Al Gergawi highlighted that leadership serves as a compass that determines the direction of entire cities, and it is deeply rooted in service, vision, and collective effort. He emphasized that under the guidance of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, Dubai has embraced a clear, human-focused vision aimed at making it the best city in the world.

The forum, held at the Dubai World Trade Centre, brought together more than 1,000 leaders and decision-makers from both the public and private sectors to explore the future of leadership, innovation, and city development. It also serves as a platform to promote collaboration and share expertise on how to build future-ready institutions.

H.E. Al Gergawi pointed out that the forum reflects Sheikh Mohammed’s belief that leadership is not about titles or hierarchy, but about mindset, responsibility, and team spirit. He praised the way Sheikh Mohammed has taken the concept of teamwork beyond the limits of organizations to a city-wide level—turning Dubai into a unified, forward-thinking model for the world.

He also underlined the importance of the strong partnership between the public and private sectors in Dubai’s success, describing it as a foundation built on trust and integration that has made the private sector a key pillar of the national economy.

The forum spans a wide range of vital sectors including economy, investment, education, health, infrastructure, technology, artificial intelligence, culture, media, and future city planning. Through open dialogue and knowledge exchange, leaders are working together to accelerate progress and achieve Dubai’s long-term strategic goals.

Its agenda includes panel discussions, workshops, expert lectures, and hands-on leadership labs designed to develop innovative ideas that enhance Dubai’s global competitiveness.

H.E. Al Gergawi stressed that the Mohammed bin Rashid school of leadership has proven that ambition knows no limits, that serving people is a sacred trust, and that courageous decision-making leads to major leaps forward. He reiterated that transforming challenges into opportunities is a leadership mindset that has been deeply embedded in Dubai’s governance model.

Reflecting on Dubai’s transformation from desert to global city, he reminded attendees of the growing responsibility to not only keep the momentum but to actively shape the future.

He concluded his speech by affirming that the forum marks the beginning of a new phase driven by bold ideas and creative initiatives. “We are one city with one future, one team with one spirit and one vision,” he said, echoing the essence of Dubai’s collective ambition.
