Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has unveiled AutoCheck360, a fully automated vehicle inspection system that completes the renewal process in as little as 15 seconds — a dramatic improvement from the previous average of 17 minutes.
Revealed during the GITEX Global 2025 exhibition, the system reflects Dubai’s ongoing commitment to innovation and digital transformation. AutoCheck360 integrates artificial intelligence, computer vision, and Internet of Things (IoT) technologies to offer precise, efficient, and human-free inspections — all without increasing costs for vehicle owners.
How AutoCheck360 Works
At the heart of the system is a smart inspection corridor equipped with advanced scanning tools. This includes 16 high-resolution cameras capturing over 4,000 images of a vehicle from every angle, a side scanner for tires, and an underbody scanner — all working simultaneously using AI-powered sensors and lasers.
The system conducts comprehensive assessments based on nine key technical criteria, covering over 200 specific checkpoints. This ensures high accuracy, reduces human error, and unifies inspection standards across the board.

Current Status and Future Rollout
The system is currently in its testing phase at the Wasel Al Jaddaf center. The RTA plans to complete operational analysis by the end of this year. Based on the results, AutoCheck360 will be rolled out across all 29 vehicle inspection centers in Dubai by the third quarter of 2026.
