Dubai Used Boat Show

Dubai is setting sail once again with the 11th edition of the Dubai Used Boat Show, taking place from October 31 to November 2 at Dubai Creek Marina. This year’s event runs under the inclusive theme: “A Boat for Everyone,” bringing together over 50 local, regional, and international brands including boat manufacturers, yacht dealers, marine equipment suppliers, and service providers.

A signature event in the region’s maritime calendar, the show has become a go-to destination for anyone interested in the world of recreational boating. It offers a wide selection of pre-owned boats and yachts at competitive prices, making boating more accessible while also supporting the circular economy and Dubai’s broader goals for sustainability in the marine industry.

A Booming Sector Anchored in Sustainability

The used boat market is more than just a niche—it’s a growing part of a global shift toward responsible consumption. Market forecasts suggest that the Middle East’s recreational boat market could reach $2.95 billion by 2027, growing at an annual rate of 4.9%. That momentum is driven by improving marine infrastructure and rising interest in coastal tourism across the region.

According to Abdullah Ali Al Noon, Director of Special Projects at Dubai Golf and head of Via Marine, the organizing company behind the event, the show reflects Dubai’s vision to expand the marine sector and widen the community of boating enthusiasts.

“This year’s theme—‘A Boat for Everyone’—is about making boating accessible to all while embracing sustainability and reuse as guiding principles,” said Al Noon.

A Platform for Investment, Leisure, and Innovation

With more than 5,000 visitors expected, the exhibition is not only a great opportunity for buyers and hobbyists but also a valuable networking platform for marine businesses and investors. It’s a space where deals are made, partnerships are formed, and innovation is on full display.

Visitors will find dedicated sections covering:

  • Marine financing and insurance

  • Maintenance services and spare parts

  • Cutting-edge navigation technology

  • Hybrid propulsion systems and electric engines

This variety ensures the event appeals to everyone from first-time buyers to seasoned yacht owners and maritime investors.

Dubai: A Regional Maritime Powerhouse

The UAE, and Dubai in particular, is fast becoming a leader in the maritime sector. The country accounts for roughly 50% of the marina market in the Gulf and Middle East, thanks to an impressive infrastructure of over 22 marinas that collectively house more than 4,190 boats and yachts. These marinas are supported by an ecosystem of services including repairs, logistics, and marine innovation.

The Used Boat Show aligns closely with the goals of Dubai Industrial Strategy 2030, promoting reuse over new production, reducing waste, and encouraging sustainable industrial practices in the marine sector.
