The Ministry of Interior in the United Arab Emirates has issued a clear warning ahead of the country’s 54th Union Day celebrations: eleven specific actions have been officially banned during the festivities, and violators risk receiving fines and having their vehicles impounded.

The ministry called on the public to celebrate the national occasion in a respectful and responsible manner that reflects the positive values of the UAE. It emphasized the importance of adhering to laws, maintaining public safety, and ensuring smooth traffic flow during the holiday period.

According to the announcement, the prohibited acts include organizing or participating in unapproved parades or random gatherings, disrupting traffic, or blocking roads. Performing vehicle stunts is also strictly forbidden.

Other violations include leaning out of windows or sunroofs while the vehicle is moving, overloading the car beyond its legal capacity, and obscuring vehicle windows or number plates. Additional bans cover unauthorized vehicle modifications and any actions that generate loud or disturbing noise.

Furthermore, the use of non-official scarves or decorations not related to the national occasion is prohibited, as is the raising of any flag other than that of the UAE. The use of spray cans is also banned, along with playing loud music that is not specifically tied to the celebration.

The Ministry of Interior stressed that anyone found violating these rules will be subject to legal penalties, and their vehicles may be impounded. The purpose of these measures is to protect public safety and preserve the spirit of the national celebration in a civilized and law-abiding manner.

Authorities reiterated their call for citizens and residents to demonstrate national pride in ways that align with the UAE’s cultural values and legal framework.
