The Zayed National Museum has announced the launch of its school programs, extending an open invitation to schools across the United Arab Emirates to register and take part in a range of enriching educational experiences. Carefully designed to align with the UAE’s national curriculum, the programs offer students an opportunity to explore the country’s natural environment, cultural identity, and historical journey through immersive, hands-on learning.

These programs are grounded in the values and legacy of the late founding father, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God rest his soul. His vision for the nation and his deep respect for heritage and nature continue to serve as guiding principles for generations to come.

Part of the museum’s broader initiative under its Education and Community Engagement department, the programs are tailored to support teachers and actively engage students of all ages throughout the academic year.

One of the museum’s flagship offerings is the “Baba Zayed” program—a guided tour and interactive workshop that introduces students to the life, values, and enduring legacy of the late founding father, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God rest his soul. Through selected exhibits and storytelling elements—especially those featured in the “Our Beginnings” gallery—students are encouraged to reflect on the values that bind Emiratis together, and how those values still shape the nation’s present and future.

For younger age groups, the “Little Explorer” program provides a more playful and nature-based experience. Held outdoors in the museum’s scenic Garden Trail, the program includes a tour and creative workshop that allows children to discover the natural beauty of the UAE in an age-appropriate and engaging way.

Older students are invited to join the “Discovering History” program, which blends a museum tour with interactive, hands-on workshops focused on archaeology and heritage preservation. This experience gives students a chance to handle replicas of historical artifacts, engage with real archaeological narratives, and better understand how the past continues to influence the UAE’s cultural identity. It also reinforces the idea that preserving heritage is a shared national responsibility.

Each of these programs is designed not just to teach facts, but to create meaningful, lasting connections between students and their country’s story. By turning the museum into a living classroom, the Zayed National Museum offers a space where history, values, and identity come to life—planting seeds of pride, curiosity, and responsibility in the next generation.

Through these thoughtfully crafted experiences, the museum continues to honor the legacy of the late founding father, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God rest his soul, by inspiring young minds and helping them understand the roots from which the UAE continues to grow.
