His Excellency Dr. Sultan Saif Al Neyadi, Minister of State for Youth Affairs, emphasized that empowering youth with digital skills, understanding artificial intelligence, and embracing continuous learning forms the cornerstone of building a sustainable future—one that is capable of keeping pace with rapid global changes. He affirmed that the role of youth in the UAE goes far beyond participation—their voices are heard, and they are becoming decision-makers.
This statement came during his participation in a panel discussion titled “Leading the Next Generation: Skills and Opportunities for Youth”, held as part of the Youth for Sustainability platform at the Masdar Forum, in collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Department of Energy.
During the session, His Excellency addressed several key future-focused themes, including digital skills, financial literacy, community involvement, quality of life, and the role of positive role models rooted in national identity. He explained that these areas are being shaped through direct dialogue with young people—who are not just present in the conversation, but actively involved in shaping outcomes and policies.
Dr. Al Neyadi highlighted the rapid transformation in global communications, noting that advancements in speed, clarity, and global connectivity have enhanced both human and technological interaction. These developments, he said, are reshaping how we work and communicate on a fundamental level.
He also stressed that one of the most crucial skills in the modern era is digital empowerment. With digital technologies touching every aspect of life, mastering artificial intelligence, understanding data analysis, and developing critical thinking—especially when combined with AI capabilities—have become essential skills to meet future demands.
