Under the patronage and presence of General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, the first International Conference on Green Artificial Intelligence will take place on January 24 and 25, 2026. The event is organized by the Zayed International Foundation for the Environment, in partnership with Dubai Police Academy and Curtin University in Australia, under the theme: “Using AI Applications to Achieve Environmental Sustainability.” It will be held at the Dubai Police Academy.
The conference aims to strengthen the role of modern technologies in addressing environmental challenges, while also exploring the future potential of AI in reducing emissions, managing natural resources, and improving community resilience to climate change. It also seeks to highlight the applications of AI in water and energy management, biodiversity protection, development of sustainable cities, and smart environmental governance.
Dr. Mohammed Ahmed bin Fahad, Chairman of the Zayed International Foundation for the Environment, stated that the launch of the first international conference on green AI reflects the UAE’s vision in leveraging advanced technologies to protect the environment and build a more sustainable future. He emphasized that the conference topics were selected to include vital issues such as environmental protection, sustainable development, environmental policies, AI governance, climate change mitigation, smart agriculture, energy and water management, and biodiversity conservation.
A distinguished group of local and international experts will participate in the conference, presenting research papers and leading discussions on environmental innovation, green AI applications, environmental forecasting, air quality monitoring, and natural disaster risk management. The agenda will also include discussions on sustainability systems in smart cities, emission reduction strategies, and the use of advanced digital tools to measure resource consumption.
The event will feature a dedicated exhibition showcasing the latest sustainable technologies, along with training workshops, student activities, and interactive sessions. Key recommendations and outcomes of the conference will be announced during the final sessions.
