His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum affirmed that Dubai’s tourism sector recording record-breaking numbers for the third consecutive year reflects the emirate’s appeal and its prominent position on the global tourism map.
His Highness explained that in 2025, Dubai welcomed approximately 19.59 million international visitors, marking a 5% growth compared to 2024, according to data from the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism. The hospitality sector also recorded occupancy rates exceeding 80%, driven by sustained tourism momentum and a year-round calendar of seasons and events.
His Highness noted that the goal is to solidify Dubai’s position among the top three global tourist destinations, in line with the objectives of the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, welcoming visitors from around the world and reaffirming that Dubai will remain a preferred destination all year round.
In a post on the social media platform “X”, His Highness stated:
“For the third year in a row, Dubai’s tourism sector continues to break records. In 2025, the emirate welcomed around 19.59 million international visitors, a 5% increase compared to 2024, according to data from the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism.”
His Highness added:
“The hospitality sector also recorded occupancy rates exceeding 80%… The momentum of tourism, seasons, and events continues throughout the year, confirming that Dubai has become a preferred destination for visitors year-round.”
His Highness concluded:
“Our goal is clear: to cement the emirate’s position among the world’s top three tourist destinations, in line with the Dubai Economic Agenda D33. Welcome to the world in Dubai.”
