Global Village in Dubai has announced a comprehensive Ramadan program that blends culture, entertainment, and community spirit, offering visitors a memorable experience throughout the holy month. The initiative comes as part of Global Village’s 30th season, reinforcing its position as one of Dubai’s most popular family destinations during Ramadan.
Extended Ramadan Timings
Throughout the holy month, Global Village welcomes guests daily from 5:00 pm until 1:00 am from Sunday to Wednesday, and until 2:00 am from Thursday to Saturday. These extended hours allow visitors to enjoy the destination’s offerings from iftar through to suhoor in a relaxed and festive atmosphere.
The Global Village Majlis: A Ramadan Gathering Space
One of the highlights of this year’s Ramadan experience is the Global Village Majlis, an open and free seating area designed as a traditional Ramadan tent inspired by classic majlis culture. Located opposite the Main Stage, the majlis serves as a calm social hub where families and friends can gather during iftar and suhoor, enjoy food from across the park, and take part in traditional games suitable for all ages.
Calm and Cultural Performances on the Main Stage
The Main Stage comes alive with a carefully curated selection of Ramadan-themed performances that reflect the spirit of the holy month. Visitors can enjoy soothing live music, including orchestra performances and melodies played on the oud, nay, harp, and violin, alongside the traditional tanoura dance that adds a touch of heritage to the evenings.
Interactive Entertainment and Drone Show
Family-friendly entertainment continues with the live “Al Mandous” show hosted by Abdullah Ismail, which takes place on the Main Stage at 9:30 pm during weekends for three consecutive weeks, starting from the first weekend of Ramadan on February 20. The interactive show combines games and audience participation in a festive Ramadan setting.
Adding to the celebrations, Global Village will light up the sky with a special drone show on February 20 at 9:30 pm, offering a visually stunning display that complements the joyful Ramadan atmosphere.
Ramadan-Inspired Decorations
Across the destination, Global Village is adorned with Ramadan-themed decorations inspired by lanterns, crescents, and warm lighting. These elements create an immersive visual experience that reflects the essence and spirituality of the holy month.
A World of Flavors and Shopping
Food lovers can explore more than 250 restaurants, cafes, and food stalls serving flavors from around the globe. Shopping enthusiasts, meanwhile, can browse 30 pavilions representing over 90 cultures, offering everything from clothing and home décor to gifts, traditional sweets, and essential food items. This diversity makes Global Village a one-stop destination for Ramadan needs and Eid preparations.
Step Challenge: Active Ramadan Evenings
Adding an energetic touch to Ramadan nights, Global Village brings back its popular Ramadan Step Challenge. Available through the Global Village app, the challenge encourages visitors to complete 10,000 steps during a single visit for a chance to win exciting prizes, turning exploration into a fun and rewarding activity.
