DMCC has inaugurated “The Plaza” at Uptown Dubai, introducing a 21,000-square-metre open destination that forms a central component of the district’s master plan and ongoing expansion.

Designed as a versatile venue, The Plaza is set to host corporate conferences, large public gatherings and major entertainment events, with a capacity of up to 4,000 guests. The space further strengthens Uptown Dubai’s ability to attract global companies across a range of sectors, as the district enters a new phase of growth.

Strategically located at the heart of Uptown Dubai, The Plaza serves as a key link connecting Uptown Tower with the surrounding commercial and residential developments. This central positioning enhances connectivity across the community and ensures an integrated experience for both visitors and residents. The design reflects a broader vision of creating a mixed-use destination that seamlessly combines business and everyday life.

The Plaza is equipped with advanced digital and technical infrastructure, including modern lighting systems and state-of-the-art display platforms. These features are designed to ensure smooth event operations and year-round activation, supporting key sectors such as trade, finance and technology with high operational efficiency.

Ahmed Bin Sulayem, Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of DMCC, described the project as an important milestone in the evolution of Uptown Dubai. He noted that The Plaza creates a shared space that brings together business, culture and community experiences, while reinforcing Uptown Dubai’s position as a leading platform for international events and vibrant daily life, in line with Dubai’s vision as one of the world’s best cities to live, work and visit.

The development of The Plaza coincides with continued construction progress on the next phase of Uptown Dubai. Two commercial towers, rising 23 and 17 storeys respectively, are currently under development and will add a combined 62,000 square metres of Grade A office and premium retail space.

Upon completion of the full master plan, Uptown Dubai is expected to deliver a total gross floor area of 538,000 square metres, including 232,000 square metres dedicated to premium commercial office space. The broader vision aims to support long-term commercial sustainability while attracting global talent and reinforcing Dubai’s position as a leading international hub for trade, innovation and investment.
