His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, may God protect him, reviewed the latest updates on the new government work system project, in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai.
The project aims to transform 50% of the sectors, services and operations of the UAE Government within two years, by applying artificial intelligence models capable of self-execution and autonomous leadership.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, may God protect him, affirmed that employing artificial intelligence in government work is a strategic priority for the next phase, in line with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, may God protect him. He noted that this direction strengthens the UAE’s global leadership in adopting advanced government models that place people at the heart of their priorities, accelerate achievements and enhance government efficiency.
His Highness said that in a rapidly changing world, the UAE Government has chosen to be at the forefront of governments that integrate artificial intelligence into their daily work. This vision is based on a government that serves people around the clock, with AI contributing to the design of programmes and policies, the development of solutions, the delivery of services and the support of decision-making, ensuring better and more effective government services.
His Highness added that government work teams are the leaders of this national transformation, and that their ability to master the tools of the future is a key guarantee of success. He stressed that the UAE’s ambitions have no ceiling, and that the coming phase requires greater determination worthy of the country’s name and position.
This came as His Highness reviewed the latest progress of the project, in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of the UAE National Olympic Committee, and Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority.
The briefing was presented by His Excellency Mohammad Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs, and was attended by His Excellency Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy and Remote Work Applications, along with a number of leaders from the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs.

The project seeks to enhance government performance, improve the quality and effectiveness of services, and increase their positive impact on customers by creating a qualitative shift in government work mechanisms. This will be achieved by converting 50% of operations and services into AI-based operating models capable of self-execution and autonomous leadership.
For his part, His Excellency Mohammad Abdullah Al Gergawi confirmed that the national team has begun implementing the directives of the wise leadership, under the supervision of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court. He said the work focuses on developing the government work system by studying the requirements and mechanisms needed to achieve the target of 50% transformation toward an AI-powered government work system, strengthening the UAE Government’s readiness for the future and its continuous ability to keep pace with global changes.
The project is expected to contribute to simplifying government procedures and accelerating delivery, while also supporting the accuracy and efficiency of government decision-making. It will rely on data integration between federal entities and the development of an advanced digital infrastructure capable of keeping pace with rapid technological transformations.
The project also focuses on empowering national talent with artificial intelligence skills and applications, supporting the delivery of government services that are more efficient, faster and more proactive. This will further strengthen the UAE’s competitiveness and leadership in adopting advanced government models that place people at the centre of government work and make serving them its primary goal.
