Dubai Global Village Returns for Season 31 with 40,000 Shows and New Attractions

Global Village is preparing to reopen in Dubai on October 14, marking the start of its 31st season with new attractions, updated cultural pavilions, and a program of approximately 40,000 entertainment shows.

The destination will bring together cultures from more than 90 countries, alongside shopping, dining, rides, and live performances for visitors of different ages.

Several areas have been redesigned ahead of the opening, while new restaurants, cafes, and entertainment experiences have been added to this year’s lineup.

Global Village Welcomes 29 Cultural Pavilions

Visitors to Global Village this season will find 29 cultural pavilions representing more than 90 cultures. Several have undergone changes, including the Sri Lanka, Russia, and Azerbaijan pavilions.

The Syria and Kuwait pavilions are also returning, both with new facades.

Shopping remains a major part of the experience. More than 3,500 retail outlets will offer products reflecting the traditions and cultures of different countries, allowing visitors to browse a wide variety of goods as they explore the pavilions.

Another returning feature is the Global Village Passport, which has been redesigned for Season 31. There will also be a version specifically for children.

Stamping stations inside the pavilions will allow visitors to collect stamps as they move from one country to another. Both adults and children can use the passports to keep a record of the cultures they have explored during their visit.

Familiar Landmarks Get a New Look

Changes to the destination are not limited to the pavilions.

The Gardens of the World will reopen with an updated design and additional areas where visitors can walk and explore.

New lighting has been introduced at the Cultural Gate, while the Sharjah Tunnel leading to Global Village has also received a makeover.

The tunnel’s new appearance is intended to introduce visitors to the Global Village atmosphere before they even reach the entrance gates.

New Restaurants Join More Than 250 Dining Outlets

There will be more than 250 restaurants, cafes, and food and beverage outlets at Global Village this season, with several new names joining the existing selection.

Among them is Trabzon, a Turkish restaurant being added to the destination’s dining options.

Three new concepts will also open at the Restaurant Plaza. Rabou Al Sham will serve Levantine food, Hawawshi Al Rabie will offer Egyptian flavors, and Chicking will specialize in fried chicken.

The cafe selection is expanding as well, with Vinci Dolci, Emir Bey Gourmet Cafe, and Uzungol Cafe joining the lineup.

Visitors who enjoy desserts will also notice a change to the Sweets District, which is returning with a redesigned facade.

The additions give visitors more dining choices while keeping international food an important part of the Global Village experience.

More Than 200 Rides and Entertainment Attractions

Global Village’s 31st season will feature more than 200 rides, games, and entertainment attractions, covering both family activities and more adventurous experiences.

The Carnaval area has been updated, including changes to the Festival Wheel carriages.

A new roller coaster, Tokyo Rush, is scheduled to join the attractions later in the season. Designed around high speeds and sharp turns, it will add another option for visitors looking for a more intense ride.

Several familiar attractions will also return.

Dragon Kingdom, Horror Hotel, Secret of the Lost City, and Exo Planet City are all part of the entertainment lineup for the new season.

Around 40,000 Shows Planned for Global Village Season 31

Live performances will have a major presence throughout the season, with approximately 40,000 shows planned.

The program includes Fast Life 2: Police Ready for the Showdown, along with two new productions, Bollywood Idol and Bank Heist.

The main production, Salaam, will also return.

Younger visitors will have their own entertainment options, including shows featuring characters from Care Bears and PJ Masks.

The performances will run alongside the destination’s cultural experiences, shopping outlets, restaurants, and amusement attractions, giving visitors different activities to choose from during their time at Global Village.

Global Village Introduces New Services for Visitors

A number of changes have also been made to improve access and make it easier for visitors to move around the destination.

A self-payment system is being introduced for VIP parking, and facilities for families and People of Determination have been expanded.

Global Village has also increased the number of ticket sales counters and improved directional signage throughout the venue.

At the Gate of the World, new signs in Arabic and English will provide additional guidance.

Visitors will also be able to use a new automated WhatsApp chat service to obtain information and assistance.

These changes are part of the preparations for the upcoming season, with improvements covering parking, ticket purchases, accessibility, navigation, and visitor support.
