His Excellency Mohammad Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs, affirmed that the UAE, guided by the vision and directives of its wise leadership, has established a pioneering model for government development built on investing in people, knowledge, and innovation. He emphasized the country’s commitment to sharing its experiences and expertise with brotherly and friendly nations to help improve government efficiency and readiness for the future.
His Excellency said: “The UAE believes that government knowledge and expertise double in value when shared, and that building the governments of the future requires investing in human talent, developing institutions and services, and utilizing technology and artificial intelligence. Through our international partnerships, we continue to share our experiences and models in government development, supporting countries’ efforts to build more efficient, flexible, and proactive government systems.”
Syrian Delegation Explores the UAE’s Experience in Government Development
The remarks came during a meeting between His Excellency Mohammad Al Gergawi and a government delegation from the sisterly Syrian Arab Republic, headed by Minister of Administrative Development Mohammad Hassan Al-Sakkaf. The delegation is on an official visit to the UAE to learn about the country’s experience in developing government operations as part of the Government Experience Exchange initiatives. During the visit, the Syrian delegation held several meetings with UAE government leaders and officials, gaining insight into the country’s practices in developing policies and legislation, government strategies and accelerators, institutional performance, and excellence.
Digital Transformation and Artificial Intelligence Among Key Areas of Cooperation
The Syrian delegation also explored the UAE’s experience in improving government services and eliminating bureaucracy, alongside human resources management, leadership development, digital transformation, and the use of artificial intelligence. Both sides discussed opportunities to expand cooperation in priority areas and benefit from the UAE’s expertise in modernizing government operations. Their discussions also focused on developing solutions and initiatives suited to the needs of Syrian government institutions, supporting efforts to improve performance and make public services more efficient.
Government Experience Exchange Program Strengthens UAE-Syria Partnerships
The visit forms part of the Government Experience Exchange Program, launched by the UAE government in 2018 to share expertise and government best practices with brotherly and friendly countries while strengthening international partnerships in government modernization, capacity building, and service development. The visit reflects the shared interest in enhancing cooperation between the UAE and Syria and exchanging successful experiences, opening new opportunities for institutional development and the use of innovative solutions to build more efficient and future-ready governments.
