Palm Jumeirah Monorail in Dubai

Palm Jumeirah is one of Dubai’s most famous residential and tourist islands, home to a wide collection of luxury hotels, private beaches, fine dining restaurants, and premium shopping destinations. Serving this iconic location is the Dubai Monorail, a fully elevated single-track line stretching 5.5 kilometers across the island.

The monorail officially opened in 2009, becoming the first driverless train in the Middle East. It connects Palm Jumeirah with Dubai’s mainland and offers more than just convenient transportation. Passengers can enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the island, the Arabian Gulf, and the surrounding skyline from an elevated vantage point.

Palm Jumeirah Monorail Stations

The monorail stations link the island’s key attractions, starting from the Gateway Station at the entrance of Palm Jumeirah and passing through major destinations before reaching Aquaventure Atlantis Dubai Station at the far end.

Palm Gateway Station

Palm Gateway Station is the first stop on the line. It offers more than 1,600 parking spaces for visitors who wish to park their cars and explore the island throughout the day. The station is easily accessible via the Dubai Tram.

Monorail users receive 3 hours of free parking. After the complimentary period, a fee of AED 10 per additional hour applies.

  • Nakheel Mall: AED 10 one way – AED 15 round trip

  • Aquaventure Atlantis Dubai: AED 20 one way – AED 30 round trip

Al Ittihad Park Station

This station opened on July 3, 2017, providing direct access to Al Ittihad Park, which features a 3.2-kilometer jogging track and dedicated outdoor fitness areas. It is directly connected to Golden Mile Galleria and located near Palm West Beach.

  • Palm Gateway: AED 10 one way – AED 15 round trip

  • Nakheel Mall: AED 5 one way – AED 10 round trip

  • Aquaventure Atlantis Dubai: AED 10 one way – AED 15 round trip

Nakheel Mall Station

Opened in November 2019, this station provides direct access to Nakheel Mall, which offers international retail stores, entertainment facilities, and a wide range of dining options. From here, visitors can also reach The Palm Tower, The View at The Palm, St. Regis Dubai, and Club Vista Mare.

Aquaventure Atlantis Dubai Station

This is the final station on the line, located at the entrance of Aquaventure Waterpark at Atlantis The Palm, Dubai, one of the most popular waterparks in the emirate. Visitors can enjoy a wide variety of activities, including swimming, water slides, snorkeling, and exploring marine life at Dolphin Bay and Sea Lion Point.
