Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced the operating schedule for its various services during the Eid Al-Fitr holiday for the year 1447 AH (2026). The updated schedule aims to ensure smooth mobility for residents and visitors while maintaining essential services throughout the holiday period.
According to the authority, the Eid holiday will run from Thursday, March 19, until Saturday, March 21. The adjustments will affect several services, including Customer Happiness Centers, vehicle technical testing centers, public transport buses, Dubai Metro, Dubai Tram, and marine transport services.
Vehicle Testing Centers
RTA confirmed that all vehicle technical testing service provider centers will be closed during the Eid holiday from March 19 to March 21. Some testing centers will resume operations on Sunday, including Tasjeel Al Towar, Autopro Al Mankhool, Tasjeel Al Aweer, Tasjeel Discovery Gardens, Al Yalayis, Shamil Muhaisnah, Al Mutakamela Al Qouz, and Shamil Nad Al Hamar.
The authority also noted that if Ramadan lasts 30 days, the holiday may extend until Sunday, March 22, for all service provider centers.
Customer Happiness Centers
All RTA Customer Happiness Centers will be closed during the Eid holiday. However, the Umm Ramool Customer Happiness Center and the smart service centers located in Deira, Al Barsha, Al Twar, Al Kifaf, and the RTA headquarters will continue to operate 24 hours a day as usual.
Dubai Metro and Tram Timings
Dubai Metro’s Red and Green Lines will operate from Wednesday, March 18, until Saturday, March 21, from 5:00 AM until 1:00 AM the following day.
On Sunday, March 22, metro services will run from 8:00 AM until 1:00 AM the next day.
Dubai Tram will operate from Wednesday to Saturday between 6:00 AM and 1:00 AM (next day), while Sunday services will begin at 9:00 AM and continue until 1:00 AM the following day.
Bus and Marine Transport Services
Passengers are advised to check any updates to public bus and marine transport schedules through the S’hail app, which provides the latest information on Dubai Bus services, water taxis, Dubai Ferry, traditional abras, and electric heritage abras.
RTA also announced that Bus Route 100E from Al Ghubaiba Bus Station will be suspended starting from the afternoon of March 18 until March 22. Passengers traveling to Abu Dhabi can instead use Bus Route 101E from Ibn Battuta Bus Station.
Additionally, Bus Route 102E will operate from Al Jafiliya Bus Station to Mussafah only between March 19 and March 22, 2026.
Free Public Parking
RTA stated that all public parking spaces in Dubai will be free from the first day of Eid Al-Fitr until the end of the third day of the holiday, except for multi-storey parking facilities, which will remain paid.
Regular parking fees will resume starting from the fourth day of Eid.
Through these arrangements, RTA aims to ensure efficient mobility and provide convenient transportation services for residents and visitors celebrating Eid Al-Fitr in Dubai.
