Dubai Municipality has announced the opening of registration for the sixth season of Farmers’ Souq, a community initiative that brings together Emirati farmers, local agricultural businesses and Dubai residents in a weekly market dedicated to locally grown produce.
The initiative is part of Dubai Municipality’s efforts to support local agricultural production, help farmers develop their businesses and provide opportunities to sell their products directly to consumers. It also aims to bring more activity to public spaces while offering residents and visitors a place to shop, enjoy recreational activities and spend time with family.
Dubai Farmers’ Souq 2026 Dates and Location
The sixth season of Farmers’ Souq will take place at Quranic Park in Dubai’s Al Khawaneej area from November 28, 2026, to January 31, 2027, with the market operating every Saturday and Sunday.
The new season follows the success of the fifth edition, which attracted 393,467 visitors. It will offer a renewed winter experience, allowing visitors to buy fresh agricultural products directly from farmers while enjoying interactive activities, entertainment and family experiences.
Participation Rises 24%, with 52 Farmers and Local Project Owners
The sixth season will see a 24% increase in participating projects compared with the previous edition, creating opportunities for 52 Emirati farmers and local project owners to showcase and sell their products.
The expanded participation will help farmers reach new customers and introduce visitors to the quality and variety of locally produced agricultural goods.
The market will also feature a range of activities designed to encourage support for local businesses and organic agricultural products, while giving visitors an opportunity to enjoy its festive atmosphere.
10 Spaces Reserved for Children and Young Entrepreneurs for the First Time
For the first time since the initiative was launched, Dubai Municipality will allocate 10 dedicated spaces to children participating as young farmers and entrepreneurs.
These spaces will allow children to display and sell their own products, giving them practical experience in farming and trading while encouraging them to develop business skills from an early age.
The initiative also aims to introduce younger generations to agricultural activities and provide opportunities to learn through direct participation.
Dubai Municipality Supports Emirati Farmers and Sustainable Agriculture
Mohammed Abdulrahman Ahli, Director of the Public Parks and Recreational Facilities Department at Dubai Municipality, said: “The sixth season of Farmers’ Souq returns as a weekly community event following the remarkable success of the previous season, which established its position as a destination offering a unique community and urban experience for Dubai’s residents during winter. Our goal is to continue developing the market as a platform to empower Emirati farmers to display and sell their agricultural products directly to consumers, encourage national products and highlight their diversity, supporting Dubai’s journey toward a more sustainable and self-sufficient future.”
He added: “Farmers’ Souq reflects Dubai Municipality’s commitment to developing community initiatives that contribute to enhancing quality of life and community well-being, and providing comprehensive support for local agriculture as an important and promising strategic sector in the future of the emirate’s local economy. It also aims to strengthen sustainable agricultural production by understanding the needs of local farmers and providing the facilities and services that help them develop their projects and access broader marketing channels.”
Comprehensive Facilities and Support for Participating Farmers
Dubai Municipality will provide participating farmers with a range of services and facilities, including dedicated stalls, logistical support, agricultural supplies and equipment.
Farmers will also have access to awareness and guidance workshops, training courses and consultations aimed at improving agricultural practices, increasing production efficiency and supporting the development of their businesses.
Family Shopping and Entertainment Experience at Quranic Park
Farmers’ Souq offers more than a traditional shopping experience, bringing together agricultural products, entertainment and educational activities suitable for different age groups.
Visitors will have opportunities to learn about local farming and production methods while spending time with family and engaging with the wider community.
The initiative also supports the use of public spaces during the winter season, providing additional opportunities for recreation and community interaction in Dubai.
