The new system, introduced by Parkin and set to launch yesterday the April 4, 2025, is designed to streamline the parking experience for drivers and reduce vehicle congestion in busy neighborhoods.<\/p>\n<p>Under this updated scheme, drivers will pay different rates during peak and off-peak hours, with special pricing also applied during large public events.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Where Will It Apply?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The new system distinguishes between standard parking zones and premium zones.<\/p>\n<p>Standard areas include neighborhoods such as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Al Nahda 1 &amp; 2<\/li>\n<li>Al Qusais<\/li>\n<li>Al Mamzar<\/li>\n<li>Abu Hail<\/li>\n<li>Al Rashidiya<\/li>\n<li>Nad Al Hamar<\/li>\n<li>Al Quoz (sectors 1, 3, and 4)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Premium areas\u2014which typically include high-demand districts or zones close to public transport\u2014are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Downtown Dubai<\/li>\n<li>Business Bay<\/li>\n<li>Al Fahidi<\/li>\n<li>Naif<\/li>\n<li>Al Wasl<\/li>\n<li>Sheikh Zayed Road (main section from Dubai World Trade Centre to Umm Al Sheif)<\/li>\n<li>Main Jumeirah Road<\/li>\n<li>Al Barsha 1<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>These areas were selected by Dubai\u2019s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) for their strategic importance and heavy traffic flow.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Peak vs Off-Peak Charges<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>During Peak Traffic Times (8:00 AM \u2013 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM \u2013 8:00 PM):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Premium zone parking will cost AED 6\/hour<\/li>\n<li>Other paid areas will cost AED 4\/hour<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Outside of peak times (10:00 AM \u2013 4:00 PM and 8:00 PM \u2013 10:00 PM), current fees remain unchanged, keeping parking affordable during less busy periods.<\/p>\n<p>As a bonus, parking remains completely free overnight from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM, and all day on Sundays.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Special Event Adjustments<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>During major events like GITEX, concerts, and large-scale festivals, a separate fee structure will be applied temporarily to manage increased traffic demand. These event-specific parking zones will be clearly marked, and information about them will be shared in advance via:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Parkin\u2019s website<\/li>\n<li>Mobile app<\/li>\n<li>Social media platforms<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>These updates are intended to balance availability with demand and ensure a smoother experience for both everyday drivers and eventgoers.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Starting April 4, Dubai will begin applying dynamic parking fees that change based on time of day and location.
