Dubai has unveiled the \u201cDubai Orchestra\u201d project under the guidance of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council. The initiative aims to amplify the presence of Emirati arts on the international stage and establish Dubai as a vibrant global center for culture, creativity, and talent.<\/p>\n
Sheikh Hamdan emphasized that, inspired by the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai continues to present an inspiring model of cultural leadership. \u201cArt is a universal language,\u201d he noted, \u201cand Dubai serves as a bridge between cultures, embracing creativity in all forms. The Dubai Orchestra embodies our dedication to fostering a sustainable, dynamic creative ecosystem that will contribute to global cultural dialogue.\u201d<\/p>\n
The project is designed not only to elevate the music sector but also to support local talents and increase their participation in the city\u2019s cultural development. By 2033, half of the orchestra\u2019s members are expected to be Emirati, reflecting Dubai\u2019s commitment to nurturing homegrown artistic talent.<\/p>\n
Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of Dubai Culture & Arts Authority, described the project as a testament to Dubai\u2019s leadership in the global cultural and creative economy. She noted that \u201cDubai Orchestra will become a cultural ambassador, showcasing the rich diversity and creative power of our city while empowering future generations of artists.\u201d<\/p>\n
The initiative aligns with several strategic goals, including the Dubai Creative Economy Strategy and the D33 Economic Agenda, aiming to position Dubai among the world\u2019s top three economic cities. It also contributes to the Dubai Social Agenda 33, supporting the city’s ambition to become a leading hub for cultural living.<\/p>\n
In addition to performances, the orchestra will launch educational programs for youth, forge partnerships with community organizations, and collaborate with internationally acclaimed orchestras. These efforts aim to engage the public with music, celebrate the region\u2019s musical heritage, and foster a rich, inclusive cultural environment.<\/p>\n
