For Hamad and Abdullah, designing this medal in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture was not just an achievement, but a testament to the UAE\u2019s commitment to celebrating and nurturing local excellence.<\/p>\n<blockquote data-start=\"1276\" data-end=\"1551\">\n<p data-start=\"1278\" data-end=\"1551\">\u201cWe wanted to create a brand that presents jewellery inspired by our culture and traditions in a contemporary way that appeals to everyone, not just Emiratis and Arabs,\u201d said Al Muhairi. \u201cEach of our designs carries a story drawn from our heritage to share with the world.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h4 data-start=\"1553\" data-end=\"1585\">Design Rooted in Meaning<\/h4>\n<p data-start=\"1587\" data-end=\"1736\">The medal design combines heritage and modernity, symbolising cultural excellence and the UAE\u2019s ambitious future. Its five symbolic elements include:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1738\" data-end=\"2065\">\n<li data-start=\"1738\" data-end=\"1805\">\n<p data-start=\"1740\" data-end=\"1805\">The falcon at its centre, representing strength and vision.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1806\" data-end=\"1849\">\n<p data-start=\"1808\" data-end=\"1849\">The sun, embodying life and energy.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1850\" data-end=\"1909\">\n<p data-start=\"1852\" data-end=\"1909\">A fort, reflecting historical roots and protection.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1910\" data-end=\"1968\">\n<p data-start=\"1912\" data-end=\"1968\">Beads, symbolising unity among the seven emirates.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1969\" data-end=\"2065\">\n<p data-start=\"1971\" data-end=\"2065\">Sadu woven patterns by Emirati artisans, with colours inspired by camel racing traditions.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"2067\" data-end=\"2206\">At its heart lies a unique coin featuring motifs from the UAE\u2019s sea, desert, and mountains, tying together the nation\u2019s diverse landscapes.<\/p>\n<h4 data-start=\"2208\" data-end=\"2252\">Facing Challenges with Determination<\/h4>\n<p data-start=\"2254\" data-end=\"2468\">Building Qafila was not without obstacles. \u201cEvery project faces challenges,\u201d said Al Muhairi. \u201cWhat matters is having awareness, market insight, and the determination to find solutions and continue moving forward.\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2470\" data-end=\"2654\">Looking ahead, Qafila aspires to reach international recognition, introducing the richness of Emirati heritage to the world through designs that merge authenticity with sophistication.<\/p>\n<h4 data-start=\"2656\" data-end=\"2703\">Celebrating Culture through Collections<\/h4>\n<p data-start=\"2705\" data-end=\"2973\">Among Qafila\u2019s most distinctive collections is \u201cAl Maroud,\u201d featuring miniature oud oil bottles transformed into necklaces and earrings. Inspired by Emirati grandmothers who blended perfumes, the collection reflects the Gulf\u2019s timeless love for oud and fragrances.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2975\" data-end=\"3170\">Another celebrated collection is \u201cAl Bahr,\u201d honouring the UAE\u2019s pearl diving history with designs featuring natural pearls, paying tribute to the divers who shaped the nation\u2019s early economy.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3172\" data-end=\"3371\">In its \u201cSiq\u201d collection, Qafila repurposes old Emirati coins such as the 1 and 10 fils \u2013 no longer in common use \u2013 to create jewellery that preserves their historical value in a modern aesthetic.<\/p>\n<h4 data-start=\"3373\" data-end=\"3408\">Reimagining Ramadan Symbols<\/h4>\n<p data-start=\"3410\" data-end=\"3688\">During Ramadan, Qafila launched its \u201cFanous\u201d collection, opting for originality over traditional motifs like crescent moons and stars.
