Launched in conjunction with Community Year 2025, the project seeks to reinforce the role of individuals and institutions in championing social initiatives and fostering a culture of giving.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"997\" data-end=\"1032\"><strong>Key Objectives &amp; Focus Areas:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1033\" data-end=\"1424\">\n<li data-start=\"1033\" data-end=\"1166\">\n<p data-start=\"1035\" data-end=\"1166\">Educate the public about volunteerism: covering its meaning, regulatory framework, and participants\u2019 rights and responsibilities.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1167\" data-end=\"1288\">\n<p data-start=\"1169\" data-end=\"1288\">Inspire community involvement among youth, seniors, families, and various community groups.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1289\" data-end=\"1424\">\n<p data-start=\"1291\" data-end=\"1424\">Provide a holistic platform for action\u2014covering everything from field volunteering to leadership development in the volunteer sector.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1426\" data-end=\"1465\"><strong>Record-Breaking Volunteer Impact:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1466\" data-end=\"1969\">\n<li data-start=\"1466\" data-end=\"1594\">\n<p data-start=\"1468\" data-end=\"1594\">In 2024, Dubai volunteers contributed over one million hours, marking significant growth in community-driven engagement.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1595\" data-end=\"1660\">\n<p data-start=\"1597\" data-end=\"1660\">Currently, 59,000 volunteers are registered with the CDA.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1661\" data-end=\"1823\">\n<p data-start=\"1663\" data-end=\"1823\">In the first quarter of this year alone, more than 18,000 volunteers devoted 500,000+ hours, representing an estimated AED 40 million in social value.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1824\" data-end=\"1969\">\n<p data-start=\"1826\" data-end=\"1969\">Specialized volunteering is also expanding, with over 100 niche opportunities, where 500 volunteers logged 8,000 specialized hours.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1971\" data-end=\"2006\"><strong>Community-Based Partnerships:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"2007\" data-end=\"2481\">\n<li data-start=\"2007\" data-end=\"2196\">\n<p data-start=\"2009\" data-end=\"2196\">CDA organized an extensive brainstorming session bringing together volunteer groups, government entities, charities, and representatives of persons of determination and senior citizens.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2197\" data-end=\"2481\">\n<p data-start=\"2199\" data-end=\"2481\">Major outcomes include forming the first volunteer team of persons of determination, empowering them to take an active civic role, and the inaugural senior-citizen volunteer team, involving members of the \u201cDhakhr\u201d Club\u2014emphasizing the value of elders\u2019 wisdom and experience.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"2483\" data-end=\"2517\"><strong>Flagship Volunteer Projects:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"2518\" data-end=\"3053\">\n<li data-start=\"2518\" data-end=\"2617\">\n<p data-start=\"2520\" data-end=\"2617\">\u201cMother and Her Daughters\u201d: Supports humanitarian hospital visits led by mothers and daughters.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2618\" data-end=\"2729\">\n<p data-start=\"2620\" data-end=\"2729\">\u201cSpend a Day with Senior Citizens\u201d: Encourages intergenerational interaction to strengthen community bonds.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2730\" data-end=\"2854\">\n<p data-start=\"2732\" data-end=\"2854\">Environmental programs such as \u201cGreen Zones\u201d\u2014hands-on recycling and planting activities that unite students and seniors.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2855\" data-end=\"3053\">\n<p data-start=\"2857\" data-end=\"3053\">Cultural initiatives include the Volunteer Leadership Hub, which trains certified volunteer leaders, as well as national-identity projects promoting Emirati customs and storytelling workshops.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"3055\" data-end=\"3365\"><strong>A Sustainable Path Forward:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3055\" data-end=\"3365\">CDA stresses that this initiative marks a \u201cqualitative leap\u201d in embedding volunteer values and broadening civic participation.
