The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) has announced the launch of the first package of initiatives under the second phase of the UAE Government\u2019s \u201cZero Bureaucracy\u201d program, focusing on simplifying procedures and enhancing service quality across the healthcare sector.<\/p>\n
The package covers three essential services: Healthcare Profession Evaluation, Licensing of Healthcare Facilities, and Licensing of Healthcare Professionals.<\/p>\n
Enas Rashid, Head of Service Innovation and User Experience at MoHAP and Project Manager for Service Re-engineering, explained that the new updates are part of a comprehensive review aimed at eliminating repetitive or unnecessary requirements. She noted that the adjustments are designed to create an exceptional and efficient experience for all users.<\/p>\n
As part of the improvements, the Licensing of Healthcare Facilities process has been re-engineered, reducing the number of related services from 11 to 6. The Healthcare Profession Evaluation service has been streamlined from four services to three, while the Licensing of Healthcare Professionals has been simplified from 17 services to just 7.<\/p>\n
\u201cThese changes are about more than just reducing steps,\u201d Rashid said. \u201cThey are about empowering customers with faster, easier, and more user-friendly services \u2014 supporting the UAE\u2019s vision for a world-class, competitive government.\u201d<\/p>\n
She added that the initiative reflects the Ministry\u2019s ongoing commitment to upgrading the country\u2019s digital infrastructure, driving transformation through advanced technology, and investing in both national talent and international expertise, particularly in the healthcare sector.<\/p>\n
Future plans include launching additional redesigned service packages and expanding the program to new sectors, ensuring that service re-engineering becomes a permanent feature of the government\u2019s culture rather than a time-limited project.<\/p>\n
MoHAP\u2019s innovation efforts are also embodied in its User Experience Lab, which is equipped with cutting-edge artificial intelligence and emerging technologies to test and refine services with direct user participation. This approach, Rashid explained, ensures that every service meets the highest standards of efficiency, accessibility, and user satisfaction.<\/p>\n
