Growth in Abu Dhabi\u2019s Food Sector<\/strong><\/p>\n In the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, the food and beverage industry is witnessing record growth, highlighting the emirate\u2019s role as a regional destination for food manufacturing. The Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry reported an active membership of 24,594 in the sector. Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and startups dominate this trend\u2014membership in the first half of 2025 surged by 42.2\u202f% compared with the same period in 2024.<\/p>\n Dubai\u2019s Role as a Global Food Hub<\/strong><\/p>\n In Dubai, a series of innovative agricultural projects and accelerators are facilitating the city\u2019s standing as a global pioneer in the food\u2011trade ecosystem. The emirate\u2019s advanced infrastructure and strategic geographic location make it a major conduit of food goods between continents. He notes that the post\u2011COVID era has accelerated public\u2011private partnerships, enhancing the country\u2019s position in this vital domain.<\/p>\n A noteworthy initiative is the so\u2011called \u201cFood Cluster Economy\u201d launched by the Ministry of Economy and Tourism \u2013 UAE, which Chairman Lutaah describes as a \u201cqualitative leap\u201d empowering private\u2011sector leadership in legislation, initiatives and projects.
