Yas Waterworld on Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, is getting ready to welcome visitors to its newest expansion starting April 4, 2026. The update adds a selection of new attractions, giving guests more to explore during their visit.<\/p>\n
The expansion continues the park\u2019s \u201cLost City\u201d theme, which is inspired by the story of the lost pearl. As part of this phase, eight new water slides have been added, along with two jump platforms and a pool set aside for relaxation. With these additions, the park now features more than 70 rides and experiences, suitable for a wide range of visitors.<\/p>\n
One of the main highlights is \u201cMataamir Drop,\u201d now the tallest water slide tower in the UAE, reaching over 40 meters. The ride begins with a quick drop that creates a brief free-fall feeling, before leading into a long slide that stretches for over 200 meters. It\u2019s a straightforward but engaging experience that many visitors are likely to enjoy.<\/p>\n
Alongside it, several other rides bring different styles of movement and pace. \u201cMataamir Coast\u201d offers a fast ride with lighter, floating moments, while \u201cMataamir Loop\u201d focuses more on sharp drops and speed. \u201cMataamir Lights\u201d adds simple visual effects through lighting, and \u201cMataamir Splash\u201d gives guests the option to race side by side on a dual slide.<\/p>\n
For visitors who prefer something calmer, there are also quieter spaces included in the expansion. \u201cMirage Pool\u201d provides an easygoing setting for families, while the \u201cAl Afda Jump Pool\u201d allows guests to try jumping into the water from different heights, depending on their comfort level.<\/p>\n
The expansion adds a bit more variety to Yas Waterworld without changing its core feel.
