The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation have launched the UAE Skills Platform through the official link: https:\/\/skillz.mohre.gov.ae<\/span><\/a>, as a national initiative aimed at developing an integrated skills-based system and strengthening the connection between education outcomes and labour market needs in the UAE.<\/p>\n

The platform comes as part of a broader national direction to prepare students, graduates and employees for future requirements by using data and indicators related to education, employment and priority economic sectors.<\/p>\n

Serving 200,000 Students and 200 Educational Institutions<\/h2>\n

The UAE Skills Platform is expected to serve more than 200,000 male and female students, along with around 200 educational institutions across the country. It also aims to support the development of more than 1,700 future skills by integrating education data, labour market information and employment indicators.<\/p>\n

This connection helps create a clearer picture of the skills required across different sectors. It also supports educational institutions in developing their academic programmes and gives students a better opportunity to choose suitable pathways for their professional future.<\/p>\n

Aligning Education with Economic Priorities<\/h3>\n

The platform was launched under the directives of the Education, Human Development and Community Council, as part of a national model focused on developing human capital and linking education policies with the needs of key economic sectors.<\/p>\n

UAE Skills contributes to providing a unified national framework that helps identify required skills and analyse the gaps between what educational institutions provide and what the labour market needs. This supports educational and career decisions based on accurate data.<\/p>\n

H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Chairman of the Education, Human Development and Community Council, highlighted the importance of human development as a key pillar in supporting the UAE\u2019s development journey. He also stressed the importance of developing skills in line with national investments in priority sectors.<\/p>\n

H.H. Sheikha Mariam bint Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice Chairperson of the Council, also affirmed that empowering individuals through clear educational and career pathways supports lifelong learning and helps prepare capable talent to contribute effectively to development.<\/p>\n

A Unified Data-Driven Framework<\/h3>\n

The UAE Skills Platform links education data with labour market needs through a unified national framework, allowing a better understanding of future jobs, required skills and needed qualifications.<\/p>\n

The platform uses artificial intelligence technologies to analyse jobs, forecast changes in the labour market and provide indicators that help government entities, educational institutions and employers plan more effectively.<\/p>\n

Dr. Abdulrahman bin Abdulmanan Al Awar, Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation and Acting Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, said the platform represents a strategic step towards strengthening integration between education and the labour market. He explained that it provides a national model that helps reduce the gap between education outcomes and the needs of economic sectors.<\/p>\n

He added that the platform enables educational institutions to respond more effectively to labour market requirements and supports decision-makers in developing policies related to education and employment.<\/p>\n
