Dubai\u2019s hotel sector is preparing for an active Eid Al Adha holiday season, as demand for hotel stays continues to rise, especially from local guests and families living in the UAE.<\/p>\n
Hotel officials said occupancy levels during the holiday are expected to range between 60% and 100%, depending on the property, its location, and the type of offers available. They noted that domestic tourism remains one of the main drivers of demand, particularly as more families look for packages that combine accommodation, dining, and entertainment options.<\/p>\n
Domestic Tourism Leads Demand<\/strong><\/p>\n Fathi Khogaly, regional director of Hyatt Hotels in Dubai and general manager of Grand Hyatt Dubai, said hotel bookings have gained clear momentum in recent days, giving positive signs for the Eid Al Adha season.<\/p>\n Khogaly expected Hyatt hotels in Dubai to record occupancy levels ranging from 60% to 85%, with some properties likely to exceed that level as the holiday approaches and last-minute bookings increase.<\/p>\n He said domestic tourism is performing strongly this season, especially as families show growing interest in hotel offers that include added benefits, such as discounts for children or special rates when booking more than one night.<\/p>\n Khogaly also pointed to a gradual rise in international arrivals to Dubai, supported by business travel, conferences, and demand from some European markets. He added that international tourism contributes around 7% to 8% of occupancy across the group\u2019s properties in Dubai.<\/p>\n Strong Demand for Dubai Hotels<\/strong><\/p>\n Shaima Fahim, director of marketing and corporate communications at TIME Hotels, said Dubai hotels are seeing strong demand, supported by the positive performance of the tourism sector and continued growth in hotel bookings.<\/p>\n Fahim expected occupancy rates during the Eid Al Adha holiday to range between 70% and 80%. She said Dubai\u2019s diverse tourism offering and its continued appeal as a global destination are helping strengthen the attractiveness of the hotel sector.<\/p>\n She added that long-stay offers have also helped support bookings, alongside the important role played by the local market in driving hotel performance during the holiday period.<\/p>\n Eid Offers Attract Families<\/strong><\/p>\n Hussni Abdelhadi, chief executive officer of Carlton Hotels, said occupancy rates during the Eid Al Adha holiday are expected to reach around 80%, supported by demand for hotel stays and the competitive offers introduced by hotels for the season.<\/p>\n Abdelhadi said domestic tourism is going through one of its stronger periods, as families and residents increasingly choose offers that bring together accommodation, dining, and entertainment.<\/p>\n He added that hotels have started to notice a gradual increase in international visitors, whether for leisure or business. This, he said, provides additional support for occupancy levels during Eid. He also noted that integrated hotel packages have helped stimulate demand, especially among families.<\/p>\n High Occupancy at Some Luxury Hotels<\/strong><\/p>\n Munther Darwish, executive director of Palazzo Versace Dubai and founder of Palazzo Hospitality, said the hotel continues to record strong weekend occupancy levels, exceeding 80%, which reflects steady demand for hotel stays in Dubai.<\/p>\n Darwish said bookings for the Eid Al Adha holiday, covering May 27, 28, and 29, indicate occupancy expectations of between 90% and 100%. This is supported by guests choosing to spend the holiday in Dubai and benefit from promotional offers and entertainment activities.<\/p>\n He added that positive performance is expected to continue until the end of May, with average occupancy for the remaining part of the month likely to exceed 55%.<\/p>\n Darwish said domestic tourism is playing a key role in supporting hotel occupancy, especially as families continue to show interest in weekend and short-break offers. He also noted that international bookings are gradually improving from several overseas markets.<\/p>\n Stronger Demand Signals Ahead of Eid Al Adha<\/strong><\/p>\n Wael El Bahi, general manager of Copthorne Hotel Dubai, said occupancy during Eid Al Adha week could reach around 75%, describing this level as a good indication of demand strength during the period.<\/p>\n El Bahi explained that the expected rise in occupancy is linked to bookings that usually come in during the final days before the holiday, particularly last-minute reservations.<\/p>\n He said the market is seeing positive movement, with demand indicators improving gradually.
