Hisense, the electronics and home appliances manufacturer, has opened its new regional headquarters for the Middle East and Africa at Dubai Internet City, in a move that reflects the company\u2019s plans to expand its operations across the region from Dubai.<\/p>\n
The new headquarters, located in Building 13 at Dubai Internet City, was inaugurated in the presence of officials from the technology hub, along with a number of the company\u2019s partners and distributors in the Middle East and Africa. The opening coincided with the launch of Hisense\u2019s new UR9 and UR8 display series, both of which are based on RGB MiniLED technology.<\/p>\n
Jason Ou, President of Hisense Middle East and Africa, said the opening of the new regional headquarters comes as part of the company\u2019s plans to strengthen its presence in the region. He noted that the introduction of the new display series is part of Hisense\u2019s efforts to develop its home entertainment products and offer more advanced viewing technologies to consumers.<\/p>\n
For his part, Ammar Al Malik, Executive Vice President of Commercial at TECOM Group and Managing Director of Dubai Internet City, said the opening of Hisense\u2019s regional headquarters is in line with Dubai\u2019s efforts to attract global technology companies. He added that the move supports the goals of the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, which aims to reinforce the emirate\u2019s position as a leading hub for the digital economy and business.<\/p>\n
On the product side, Hisense said its new UR9 and UR8 series use RGB MiniLED technology supported by Chromagic. The technology is designed to improve color accuracy and contrast levels, while also reducing blue light emissions and enhancing energy efficiency.<\/p>\n
The UR8 series is available in different sizes, starting from 55 inches and reaching up to 100 inches. This gives users a range of options for large-screen home viewing, whether for entertainment, sports content or everyday use.<\/p>\n
Hisense also announced that, as a sponsor of the FIFA World Cup 2026, it will continue supporting the provision of dedicated spaces for individuals with sensory needs in the stadiums hosting the tournament\u2019s matches. The initiative aims to improve the matchday experience for different groups of fans.<\/p>\n
Dubai Internet City, established in 1999, is one of the region\u2019s leading technology business communities and is home to around 31,000 professionals. According to a study conducted in partnership with Accenture in February 2025, the city contributed about AED 100 billion to Dubai\u2019s gross domestic product over a period of 15 years.<\/p>\n
Hisense was founded in 1969 and operates in the home appliances and information technology sectors. The company has a network of research and development centers and industrial facilities across several global markets.
