The recovered property includes personal belongings, electronic devices, documents, and valuable items. Each piece is registered separately and securely stored by the relevant department before being matched with submitted reports and returned to its owner.<\/p>\n
This process helps improve the efficiency of handling found items and ensures they remain safe until they are handed back, either through an approved collection point or through the new delivery service.<\/p>\n
The General Department of Criminal Investigation at Dubai Police, represented by the Lost and Found Department, successfully returned 171,490 items to their owners during 2025.<\/p>\n
During the same year, the department handled a total of 868,110 found items, while the number of lost property reports reached 159,962.<\/p>\n
