Through its \u201cAwnak\u201d initiative, DEWA provides proactive technical support and specialized guidance that help partners meet the Authority\u2019s requirements and obtain approvals more efficiently.<\/p>\n<p>The initiative achieved notable results during the first half of 2026, benefiting 15,142 consultants and contractors through a range of awareness sessions, educational videos, and technical services designed to simplify procedures and improve project quality from the earliest stages.<\/p>\n<h3>More Than 17,000 Online Technical Consultations<\/h3>\n<p>As part of DEWA\u2019s efforts to provide partners with a more flexible and efficient experience, the \u201cAwnak\u201d initiative conducted 1,161 preliminary technical consultations before project applications were submitted, in addition to 17,343 online technical consultations during the project submission and approval stages.<\/p>\n<p>This approach helps consultants and contractors gain a clearer understanding of technical requirements before submitting their applications, reducing the likelihood of comments or resubmissions and shortening the time needed to complete project procedures.<\/p>\n<h3>Proactive Services Powered by Advanced Technologies<\/h3>\n<p>HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD &amp; CEO of DEWA, said: \u201cAs part of our efforts to consolidate Dubai\u2019s position as a global model for government efficiency and ease of doing business, we are committed to providing proactive and integrated services based on the latest artificial intelligence technologies to facilitate the work of consultants and contractors and enhance the efficiency of development and infrastructure projects.<\/p>\n<p>The \u2018Awnak\u2019 initiative embodies this approach by shifting from providing support after applications are submitted to a proactive technical partnership that begins before submission, enabling our partners to understand the requirements, improve the quality of designs, reduce comments, and accelerate project completion.<\/p>\n<p>The results achieved during the first half of 2026 confirm the effectiveness of this model in improving the partner experience, increasing operational efficiency, and enhancing the quality of outcomes in support of Dubai\u2019s sustainable development journey.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This vision reflects DEWA\u2019s approach to moving technical support toward a more proactive model, allowing partners to receive the information and guidance they need before submitting applications. It also includes specialized educational videos explaining the requirements and procedures associated with different stages of work, including inspections and low- and high-voltage designs.<\/p>\n<p>Engineer Prashanth Madsis from Darwish Engineering Emirates praised the educational videos provided through the \u201cAwnak\u201d initiative, saying: \u201cI watched the high-voltage inspection video. It was very clear and extremely useful, providing comprehensive information on what should be prepared and maintained before the inspection. These guidelines will help us avoid having inspection applications returned with comments and improve the quality of our work. We thank Dubai Electricity and Water Authority for its continued cooperation and support, and we appreciate its efforts to help us complete inspections and our work more efficiently.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>These educational materials provide contractors with practical information they can use before inspections, helping them improve their level of preparedness and comply with technical requirements from the outset.<\/p>\n<h3>Clear Guidance on Low-Voltage Design Requirements<\/h3>\n<p>Engineer Anoop John David from MPM Gulf Electromechanical Works LLC said: \u201cThe low-voltage design demonstration video is very detailed and provides a clear understanding of the categories, requirements, and procedures. I recommend that all contractors watch these videos to gain a better understanding of the entire process. Dubai Electricity and Water Authority has done an excellent job in preparing these detailed and informative videos.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The videos help present technical and procedural requirements in a clear and organized way, allowing contractors to develop a better understanding of the steps they need to follow during the design, implementation, and approval stages.<\/p>\n<p>Engineer Abdulrahman Abdullah Shehata from Al Ibtidaa Contracting said: \u201cI watched the low-voltage inspection video, and it is clear and easy to understand, providing useful information for contractors. It will help us complete low-voltage installations correctly and pass inspections with fewer issues.<\/p>\n<p>Thank you to Dubai Electricity and Water Authority for its continued support and helpful guidance.
