The UAE Ministry of Defense organized a seminar titled “Women in the Defense Sector” to celebrate Emirati Women\u2019s Day and highlight the achievements and contributions of Emirati women across various fields of national service, particularly in defense. The event also showcased their growing role in serving the nation.<\/p>\n
The seminar coincided with the 50th anniversary of the unification of the UAE Armed Forces and formed part of the country\u2019s Emirati Women\u2019s Day celebrations, held under the theme “We Will Emerge Stronger and Better.”<\/p>\n
The celebrations will continue throughout an entire month under the directives of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, the “Mother of the Nation,” Chairwoman of the General Women\u2019s Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation.<\/p>\n
The seminar\u2019s sessions highlighted the progress Emirati women have made in the defense sector over the years. Their journey has evolved from initial military training and qualification to more specialized fields and positions of greater responsibility, where they have demonstrated their competence and ability to contribute effectively to the defense system.<\/p>\n
The discussions emphasized that the strong presence Emirati women have established in this sector reflects the continued support and empowerment they have received. These opportunities have enabled them to develop their skills, strengthen their professional capabilities, and take on active roles in various areas of national service.<\/p>\n
The seminar addressed two main topics. The first focused on the contributions of Emirati women to shaping the future of national defense, while the second explored their role in developing the defense sector\u2019s future capabilities and preparing the next generation of Emirati women to assume leadership positions.<\/p>\n
