Al Habtoor Polo and Equestrian Club has announced its sporting calendar for the 2026-2027 season, which begins on Saturday, October 24, with the Ladies Charity Day and continues through April 24, 2027. The new season features 15 tournaments and events, bringing together polo players and enthusiasts for several months of competition.

The club had already marked the opening of the season with an exhibition match on September 19, setting the stage for a seven-month calendar featuring tournaments of varying competitive levels, based on the handicap classifications used in polo.

The schedule offers opportunities for players with different levels of experience to take part in the competitions, from professionals to amateurs. This variety also gives participants a chance to develop their skills and improve their technical performance while attracting polo enthusiasts to follow the season’s matches.

The Dubai Gold Cup Series stands out as one of the most prominent and popular attractions on the new season’s calendar. The series consists of five major tournaments, all scheduled to take place in 2027, with competition handicaps reaching 20 goals.

The five tournaments include the Dubai Gold Cup, Dubai Silver Cup, Dubai Challenge Cup, Dubai Cup, and Masters Cup. These competitions attract considerable attention from polo fans both in the UAE and internationally.

Another highlight of the series is the live broadcasting of its matches, allowing polo enthusiasts around the world to follow the action as it unfolds.

With its five tournaments, the Dubai Gold Cup Series remains a central part of the sporting calendar at Al Habtoor Polo Club, drawing strong interest from followers of the sport.

Before the Dubai Gold Cup Series gets underway, the club will host several tournaments designed for players across different handicap levels.

The first is the Halloween Cup, scheduled from October 26 to 31, 2026. The tournament is open to players with handicap classifications ranging from 2 to 4 goals.

It will be followed by the Al Habtoor Polo Resort and Club November Tournament, taking place from November 9 to 14. This competition will feature players with handicaps ranging from 4 to 6 goals, offering another opportunity for participants to compete and build their experience.

The club will then host the UAE National Day Tournament from November 24 to 28, bringing together players with handicap classifications between 8 and 10 goals. The tournament will be held as the UAE prepares to celebrate its National Day.

The different handicap categories reflect the club’s efforts to provide a varied sporting calendar that accommodates players at several levels and allows them to participate in competitions throughout the season.

Polo competitions will continue into December with two more events scheduled before the end of the year.

The annual Sir Winston Churchill Cup will take place from December 2 to 5, featuring intermediate-level players with handicap classifications ranging from 8 to 10 goals.

The final event on the club’s 2026 calendar will be the Al Habtoor Polo Festival, scheduled from December 14 to 19. The festival will welcome players with handicaps between 2 and 4 goals.

Both events form part of the club’s broader program of competitions, which aims to give players of different abilities opportunities to participate while maintaining the sporting and social atmosphere associated with the polo season in Dubai.

Mohammed Khalaf Al Habtoor, Vice Chairman and CEO of Al Habtoor Group, expressed his pride in the return of the polo season, highlighting the role of Al Habtoor Polo Resort and Club as a destination that brings together enthusiasts of the sport from the UAE and beyond.
