University of Dubai Climbs 100 Places Globally in QS 2027 Rankings

The University of Dubai has achieved a new milestone in the QS World University Rankings 2027, advancing 100 places globally to reach the 781-790 band, compared with the 851-900 band in the previous ranking.

The university was also ranked among the top 100 universities in the Arab region, a result that reflects its continued efforts to support academic excellence, develop scientific research and innovation, and strengthen the readiness of its graduates for the labor market. This progress further enhances its position among higher education institutions in the UAE and the region.

Dr. Eesa Bastaki, President of the University of Dubai, congratulated the academic and administrative teams on this achievement, praising their role in maintaining the quality of education and commitment to international education standards, which contributed to securing this advanced ranking.

Bastaki affirmed that the university’s steady progress in global rankings is the result of its work to develop the scientific research system, support faculty members, expand international partnerships, and connect research outcomes with priority issues for both local and global communities.

He noted that one of the most notable highlights of this year’s results was the university’s progress in the citations per faculty indicator. He explained that this indicator reflects the impact of the university’s scientific output within the global research community and is linked to higher citation rates, as well as the quality and international influence of published research.

He added that the University of Dubai also recorded progress in several important indicators, including the international research network, academic reputation, and employer reputation indicators. These indicators are based on global surveys and highlight the development of the university’s academic and professional standing.
