The UAE Council for Artificial Intelligence and Blockchain has launched the third edition of the UAE Artificial Intelligence Award, with the aim of strengthening constructive competition in the adoption of AI assistant applications and recognizing entities and individuals that use these technologies to create tangible improvements in government performance, develop services, enhance customer experiences, and improve quality of life across society.

The launch of the award’s third edition reflects the UAE’s direction toward establishing AI assistants as a key partner in advancing government work and shaping the future. It also supports government efforts to begin a new phase of transformation based on deploying AI assistants across 50% of government sectors, services, and operations.

This approach is expected to enhance productivity, improve performance efficiency, and open new opportunities for developing future government work models, while supporting higher levels of readiness, efficiency, and sustainability.

His Excellency Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy and Remote Work Applications, said: “The UAE Government adopts a comprehensive approach to advancing technological transformation and accelerating the deployment of AI assistant solutions across different areas of work and life, moving toward a stage where AI assistants become active partners in achievement and support national talent in carrying out tasks and developing services. This supports the national momentum for adopting AI assistants in government work and strengthens the UAE’s position and global leadership in developing and adopting advanced technology solutions.”

His Excellency added: “In its third edition, the award represents a new national benchmark for excellence in AI assistants, recognizing leading models capable of transforming these technologies from digital tools into intelligent assistants that deliver tangible impact across services and operations.”

His Excellency noted that the award celebrates leading models that use AI assistant technologies in innovative and responsible ways and turn their capabilities into practical outcomes that improve the quality of government services and strengthen the UAE’s competitiveness.

Five Main Categories

The UAE Artificial Intelligence Award continues to reinforce national standards of excellence in artificial intelligence, with its third edition placing a stronger focus on AI assistants.

The award covers five main categories, including Excellence in AI Assistant-Powered Services, which recognizes entities that have successfully used these technologies to develop services, improve efficiency, and enhance customer experiences.

It also includes the AI Assistant Solutions Developed in the UAE category, which focuses on innovative solutions created within the country and reflects advanced national capabilities in designing and developing artificial intelligence applications.

The award also features the Best Public-Private Partnership in AI Assistants category, recognizing successful collaboration models that have produced innovative solutions and contributed to digital transformation.

The Scientific Research in AI Assistants category celebrates research contributions aimed at advancing knowledge and practical applications in this vital field.

Meanwhile, the AI Leader category honors professionals who lead the adoption of innovative solutions and contribute to promoting an AI culture and building specialized capabilities.

A National Initiative Driving Innovation

The UAE Artificial Intelligence Award is one of the country’s key national initiatives designed to encourage innovation in artificial intelligence. Across its first and second editions, the award attracted more than 540 nominations from various sectors.

This level of participation reflects the growing interest in adopting artificial intelligence technologies and using them to develop services and improve operational efficiency, supporting the UAE’s competitiveness and future ambitions in advanced technology.
