The “Dubai Invitation” initiative, launched by the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism, has attracted strong interest since applications opened. More than 10,000 applications were submitted during the first 48 hours, while nominations of friends and family members exceeded 17,000.
The level of participation reflects the interest of UAE citizens and residents in inviting relatives and friends from outside the country to visit Dubai, particularly as the number of available packages and offers is limited.
The initiative gives citizens and residents an opportunity to receive reward packages when nominating family members or friends who live outside the UAE. It forms part of Dubai’s efforts to support visits from relatives and friends and encourage tourism activity during the summer and fall seasons.
A Variety of Benefits
To qualify for the initiative, guests must enter Dubai between July 20 and October 31, 2026. Each citizen or resident may receive up to three reward packages during the campaign period.
The packages include offers across hotels, restaurants, tourist attractions, and transportation services, in cooperation with a number of partners. These include W Dubai – Mina Seyahi, The Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi Beach Resort & Marina, Le Méridien Mina Seyahi Beach Resort & Waterpark, Meliá Desert Palm, IHG Hotels & Resorts, Careem, and Hala.
UAE citizens and residents who are at least 18 years old and hold a valid Emirates ID may nominate visitors through the initiative’s dedicated online platform. The nomination must be submitted before the guest arrives in Dubai.
The visitor must also be living outside the UAE and traveling on a tourist visa or under the visa-on-arrival system.
Package Sent Within 72 Hours
Once the visitor enters Dubai, the arrival is automatically verified through border entry systems. The Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism then sends the reward package to the citizen’s or resident’s email address within 72 hours.
