World Youth Week Activities at Dubai Police: A Platform for Empowering Talent and Developing Future Leaders

Dubai Police General Command, represented by the Young Leaders Council, has launched the activities of World Youth Week in conjunction with International Youth Day, which is observed annually on August 12.

The initiative reflects Dubai Police’s commitment to highlighting the aspirations and future needs of young people, while emphasizing their vital role in sustainable development and shaping the future.

The week also underlines the important position young people hold within Dubai Police and their growing contribution to development, innovation, and the achievement of the General Command’s strategic objectives.

Exhibition Showcases the Achievements of Dubai Police Youth

The Young Leaders Council announced a diverse program for World Youth Week, led by a special exhibition showcasing the achievements of young personnel at Dubai Police. The exhibition is being held at the Research and Development Center building at Dubai Police General Headquarters.

General departments and police stations participating in the exhibition will highlight the efforts and contributions of young people in supporting Dubai Police’s strategy, strengthening security and safety, and taking part in initiatives and projects aimed at enhancing community happiness and improving the quality of services.

“Inspiring Leaders” Sessions and Talent Discovery

World Youth Week will also feature “Inspiring Leaders” sessions designed to transfer expertise, experiences, and inspiring stories from specialists and experts to the younger generation, helping them build their capabilities and benefit from successful leadership and professional experiences.

The program will also include activities dedicated to discovering and showcasing young talent, along with academic consultations provided by specialists to support young people in developing their educational and professional paths and strengthening their future opportunities.

Youth Are Key Partners in Development

Engineer Salama Al Falasi, Chairperson of the Dubai Police Young Leaders Council, said that World Youth Week activities are being organized in celebration of the global occasion, which aims to raise awareness of youth issues and recognize their essential role as key partners in sustainable development and shaping the future.

She added that the wise leadership places great importance on the youth sector, in recognition of their central and fundamental role in driving development across all sectors.

Supporting Youth in Leadership and Supervisory Positions

She highlighted Dubai Police General Command’s commitment, under the directives of His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, to supporting young people across various fields and enabling them to serve in leadership and supervisory positions within organizational structures, committees, and specialized and strategic projects.

This comes in line with Dubai Police’s Youth Empowerment Strategy, which aims to develop young leaders capable of leading the future policing system with efficiency, competence, and a pioneering mindset.

This approach reflects Dubai Police’s continued commitment to investing in young talent and providing youth with advanced opportunities to take part in responsibilities and specialized projects, strengthening their readiness to play influential roles in the future of policing.

Al Falasi affirmed that the Dubai Police Young Leaders Council works in an integrated manner with various specialized general departments and entities responsible for human resources development, guided by a roadmap that has been in place since the council was established in 2017.
