The General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai has increased its operational readiness across all travel platforms and entry points at Dubai Airports in preparation for welcoming citizens, residents, and visitors returning from their holidays.
The preparations are part of an integrated effort to ensure smooth passenger movement and provide travelers with a fast, comfortable, and efficient arrival experience.
The measures also reflect Dubai Residency’s commitment to keeping pace with increased travel activity during peak return periods by strengthening field and logistical readiness and making full use of advanced smart technologies across the emirate’s airports.
Expanded Readiness Across Dubai Airports
The operational measures include the redistribution of personnel across different locations, reinforced technical support teams, and a higher level of preparedness at air entry points to ensure efficient handling of arriving passengers.
The authority has also activated the maximum capacity of its Smart Gates, which allow eligible travelers to complete passport procedures within seconds using facial recognition and biometric technologies.
These advanced systems help provide a faster and smoother travel experience while supporting Dubai’s vision for a fully contactless passenger journey.
Smart Gates Make Passport Procedures Faster
Smart Gates are among the key solutions used at Dubai Airports to simplify the passenger journey, helping reduce the time required to complete entry procedures while maintaining high levels of efficiency and security.
The use of facial recognition and biometric technology also strengthens the ability of air entry points to process large numbers of travelers efficiently while giving passengers a more convenient arrival experience.
These steps are in line with Dubai’s ongoing approach to transforming traditional travel procedures into a seamless and intelligent journey, beginning from the moment passengers arrive at the airport and continuing until all formalities are completed.
Red Carpet Lanes Reflect Dubai’s Warm Hospitality
As part of its preparations to welcome returning travelers and visitors, the authority has completed arrangements for dedicated “Red Carpet” lanes and designated reception points.
The initiative is designed to enhance the hospitality experience from the moment passengers arrive, reflecting the warmth and generosity for which Dubai is widely known.
It also adds a distinctly human element to the arrival experience alongside the advanced technologies and smart services available across Dubai Airports.
Through these preparations, Dubai Residency aims to make the arrival process a complete experience that combines fast procedures, high-quality service, and a warm welcome.
