Dubai is preparing for a busy month of entertainment, culture, and sports as the Dubai Calendar, the emirate’s official events platform, unveils a packed schedule for September 2026.
Throughout the month, events will take place across some of the city’s most prominent venues, giving residents and visitors plenty of options, from live music and comedy shows to major sporting competitions, fitness challenges, and cultural performances.
Dubai Mallathon 2026 Continues Through Mid-September
Among the key community and fitness events, Dubai Mallathon 2026 will continue until September 15 across nine shopping malls in the city.
The initiative offers free indoor walking and running routes ranging from 2.5 to 10 kilometers. The tracks are available daily from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m., giving participants an opportunity to stay active in a comfortable indoor environment away from the outdoor heat.
The event is designed to welcome people with different fitness levels, making it an accessible option for anyone looking to add more physical activity to their daily routine.
Dubai Basketball Begins a Season of Major Matchups
Sports will also play a major role in Dubai’s September 2026 events calendar, with Coca-Cola Arena set to host Dubai Basketball games for the 2026-2027 season starting September 24.
The season will feature 32 home games, with leading European basketball clubs expected to take part, including Real Madrid, Barcelona, Olympiacos, and Fenerbahce.
The lineup promises a series of high-profile matchups for basketball fans in Dubai.
Coca-Cola Arena will also host DEKA FIT Dubai 2026 on September 26. The fitness competition combines running with functional workouts across 10 challenge zones, offering participants a demanding experience focused on endurance, strength, and overall fitness.
Arabic Concerts and Comedy Shows Take the Stage
Dubai’s entertainment schedule begins on September 4 with “A Night of Love and Tears” at Dubai World Trade Centre, featuring Arab singers Ramy Gamal and Wael Jassar.
The evening is set to bring together a selection of romantic songs in a live performance for fans of Arabic music.
Dubai Opera will then welcome Mina Nader on September 5, followed by comedian Taha Desouky on September 6, adding comedy and live entertainment to the month’s cultural program.
On September 13, Coca-Cola Arena will host a concert by Jasmine Sandlas, further expanding the variety of musical performances taking place across the city.
“The Marriage of Figaro” Marks Two Special Anniversaries
One of the standout cultural events of the month will be “The Marriage of Figaro,” presented by the Ukrainian National Ballet at Dubai Opera from September 17 to 19.
The production forms part of celebrations marking the 10th anniversary of Dubai Opera, while also commemorating the 270th anniversary of the birth of legendary composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
The performance is expected to be one of the major artistic highlights on Dubai’s September calendar.
From DJ Competitions to Theater and Storytelling
The Dubai Events Calendar is not limited to concerts and sports. September’s program also includes the DMC DJ Championship in the Middle East, Karak After Dark, and Lightfall with Radhika Das.
The month will also feature the comedy production “Father Ted,” a concert by SunSay, the improvisational show “A Kaaba,” the play “Chanel vs. Rubinstein,” and “Khoshyan,” a storytelling experience.
Together, these events add even more variety to a calendar already filled with music, theater, comedy, sports, and cultural activities.

Operated by the Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment, the Dubai Calendar includes more than 1,200 events every year, with new activities and experiences added on a weekly basis.
