Dubai is preparing to host the third edition of the Dubai T100 Triathlon 2026, scheduled for November 13–15, with support from the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism and the Dubai Sports Council. With 50 days remaining until the event, the international competition will take place at Al Mamzar Beach for the first time as part of the closing stages of the T100 Race to Qatar series.

The championship has attracted considerable interest from athletes around the world, with more than 2,000 men and women representing 57 nationalities already registered. The figures reflect the continued interest in the event and its growing presence on the international triathlon calendar.

Strong International Participation Builds on Dubai T100 Triathlon’s Success

The Dubai T100 Triathlon continues to attract athletes of different nationalities and experience levels. More than one-third of those registered for this year’s edition have competed in previous editions, demonstrating continued interest in returning to the event.

This enthusiasm follows the success of last year’s competition, which welcomed more than 3,000 athletes and attracted over 15,000 spectators throughout the weekend.

The third edition will introduce a new setting as the competition moves to Al Mamzar Beach, where all championship activities will take place at a single venue. The location will bring athletes and spectators together while showcasing one of Dubai’s coastal destinations to visitors and audiences around the world.

New Races Offer Amateur Athletes More Ways to Participate

This year’s amateur race program at the Dubai T100 Triathlon introduces several additions designed to expand participation. The most notable is the Olympic-distance race, which will be included for the first time and consists of a 1.5-kilometer swim, a 40-kilometer cycling course, and a 10-kilometer run.

The program will also introduce relay races for both the Olympic and sprint distances, giving athletes the opportunity to compete as teams alongside the individual events.

The sprint race will feature a 750-meter swim, 20 kilometers of cycling, and a 5-kilometer run. Meanwhile, the main 100-kilometer race will consist of a 2-kilometer swim, an 80-kilometer cycling course, and an 18-kilometer run.

These race options are designed to accommodate participants with different levels of experience, from beginners preparing for their first triathlon to experienced athletes looking to test themselves in an international competition.

Sam Renouf, CEO of the Professional Triathletes Organization (PTO), said the strong interest in this year’s edition reflects the event’s continued momentum. He noted that moving the competition to Al Mamzar will provide a single location for all weekend activities, while the addition of the Olympic-distance race and relay options will help expand participation. The event will also welcome the world’s leading female triathletes at a decisive stage of the T100 Race to Qatar season.

20 of the World’s Top Female Triathletes to Compete in Dubai

The third edition of the Dubai T100 Triathlon will bring together some of the world’s leading professional female triathletes. Under the T100 series’ new competition format, Dubai’s professional races this year will be exclusively for women.

The new format includes four separate rounds for professional men and women before the T100 Triathlon World Championship Final in Qatar, scheduled for December 10–12, 2026.

Dubai is set to welcome 20 of the world’s leading female triathletes for an important round of the season ahead of the championship final. The official list of athletes competing in Dubai will be announced in the coming weeks.

The women’s professional race will be broadcast globally, allowing triathlon fans around the world to follow the competition in Dubai.

Encouraging Emirati Women to Participate in Triathlon

This year’s Dubai T100 Triathlon will place particular emphasis on encouraging Emirati women and girls to participate in the sport, coinciding with the month-long celebration of Emirati Women’s Day.

The championship offers Emirati women opportunities to compete at different levels, starting with the sprint race and the newly introduced Olympic distance, as well as relay events and the main 100-kilometer race.

Renouf confirmed that the championship will feature 20 of the world’s leading professional female triathletes in a race that will be broadcast internationally. He expressed hope that the event would encourage more Emirati women and girls to take up sports and participate in triathlon competitions, particularly as it coincides with the Dubai Fitness Challenge.

The participation of these leading international athletes will also provide an opportunity to inspire Emirati women and encourage more women to explore triathlon and take part in races suited to their abilities and experience.
