His Excellency Mohammad Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs, affirmed that the United Arab Emirates follows a clear approach in its relations with countries around the world, based on strengthening government knowledge through effective international partnerships. This approach aims to advance government work and reinforce readiness for the future. He noted that exchanging knowledge and expertise enhances governments’ ability to anticipate changes and respond to them efficiently and flexibly.
His remarks came during an official visit by a government delegation from the Republic of Serbia to the UAE. Organized by the Government Experience Exchange Office at the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs, the visit was part of the strategic partnership between the two countries in government modernization. It aimed to introduce the delegation to the UAE government’s leading practices and experiences in developing government operations and services.
UAE Strengthens International Partnerships to Advance Government Performance
His Excellency stated that the experiences developed by the UAE government represent an advanced model for building governments that are better prepared, more proactive, and more flexible. These experiences are based on investing in people, developing the capabilities of government personnel, and preparing them to lead the next generation of governments.
His Excellency added that the partnership with the Government of the Republic of Serbia reflects the two friendly countries’ shared vision of the importance of exchanging knowledge and expertise and developing government capabilities. This cooperation contributes to improving government performance and services, ultimately benefiting society.
25 Serbian Officials Explore the UAE’s Government Experience
The Serbian delegation included 25 officials from the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government and nine major municipalities. The visit provided an opportunity to explore the UAE’s experience and learn about its practices in government service development.
The visit included five training sessions focused on government service development, delivered in three phases. The program also featured field visits to service centers in the Emirate of Ajman, where the delegation explored the UAE’s government service delivery models, service organization mechanisms, and approaches to simplifying the customer journey.
UAE’s Experience as a Model for Developing Future Governments
The visit reflects the UAE and Serbia’s commitment to strengthening cooperation and exchanging expertise in government modernization. It also highlights their shared interest in learning from successful experiences, developing institutional capabilities, and improving government services to support the development of more future-ready and flexible governments.
