In a significant move to bolster community engagement, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council, has unveiled the ‘Dubai Communities’ digital platform. This initiative aims to position Dubai as a global hub for innovative lifestyles by fostering connections among residents and visitors who share similar interests and hobbies. The platform aligns with the UAE’s ‘Year of the Community’ objectives, promoting social cohesion and reinforcing values of tolerance and coexistence.
Sheikh Hamdan emphasized that ‘Dubai Communities’ embodies the vision of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, for creating interactive future cities that offer unparalleled living experiences. He highlighted that the platform, encompassing approximately 100 diverse communities, reflects Dubai’s innovative approach to strengthening social bonds and enhancing the city’s rich social fabric.
“The quality of life in cities is measured not only by urban development and infrastructure but also by the richness of social connections and community initiatives,” Sheikh Hamdan stated. He invited all residents and visitors to actively participate in this endeavor to build stronger community ties and share experiences across various cultural, social, and economic fields.
In a post on his official ‘X’ platform account, Sheikh Hamdan remarked, “Coinciding with the Year of the Community, we launched today the ‘Dubai Communities’ platform, an innovative digital gateway that offers citizens, residents, and visitors the opportunity to explore Dubai’s community life and join groups that share their interests and passions across various fields.”
He further added, “Under the guidance of Mohammed bin Rashid, Dubai continues its journey to become the best city globally for living, working, and quality of life, in line with the objectives of the Dubai Social Agenda 33. ‘Dubai Communities’ is a platform that brings people together, strengthens bonds, and opens doors to new opportunities for community interaction and shared experiences.”
