Arab Media Summit 2025

The Arab Media Summit 2025 officially commenced today at the Dubai World Trade Centre, marking a significant gathering of media professionals, thought leaders, and innovators from across the Arab world and beyond. Organised by the Dubai Press Club under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, the three-day summit aims to chart the future course of Arab media in an era of rapid technological advancement.

With over 8,000 participants, including ministers, editors-in-chief, content creators, influencers, and academics, the summit features more than 300 speakers across 175 sessions and 35 workshops. Discussions will delve into pressing topics such as artificial intelligence, digital transformation, and the integration of immersive technologies in media.

Notable attendees include British media personality Piers Morgan, Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan, and prominent political figures like Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam and Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad Al Shibani. The summit also welcomes cultural icons such as Grand Imam of Al-Azhar Dr. Ahmed El-Tayeb and Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, who will address the role of media in the age of algorithms.

A highlight of this year’s summit is the launch of the inaugural Film and Gaming Forum, organised by the Dubai Films and Games Commission. This initiative underscores Dubai’s commitment to becoming a global hub for content creation, with participation from industry giants like Amazon, Netflix, and Square Enix.

The summit will also see the release of the “Arab Media Outlook 2025” report, providing data-driven insights into regional media trends and investment opportunities. Additionally, excellence in journalism and content creation will be celebrated through the Arab Media Award, Arab Youth Media Award, and Arab Social Media Influencers Award.

Her Excellency Mona Ghanem Al Marri, Vice Chairperson and Managing Director of the Dubai Media Council and President of the Dubai Press Club, emphasised the summit’s role in fostering dialogue and collaboration to navigate the evolving media landscape. “Our aim is to raise Arab media’s role in growth and development not just regionally, but also globally,” she stated.

The Arab Media Summit 2025 runs until May 28, serving as a platform for meaningful discussions and partnerships that will shape the future of media in the Arab world.
