Dubai Healthcare City Authority has announced another year of sustained growth and expansion, reflecting continued confidence in the city’s healthcare ecosystem.

According to the authority, 27% of existing business partners expanded their operations within Dubai Healthcare City (DHCC) in 2025 — meaning nearly one-third of partners chose to grow their footprint, a clear indicator of the demand and long-term trust in the city’s integrated healthcare infrastructure.

The number of active medical and commercial facilities within the city increased to 487, while the healthcare workforce grew by 30%, reaching over 12,941 professionals. This growth is not only quantitative but also qualitative, enhancing the city’s capacity to offer advanced, high-quality medical services.

In parallel, new investment momentum accelerated, with a 26% year-on-year increase in new projects, strengthening Dubai Healthcare City’s role as a key contributor to the goals of the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, which aims to establish Dubai as a global hub for innovation and future-ready industries — including healthcare.

This announcement coincided with Dubai Healthcare City’s participation in Arab Health 2026, where it showcased the maturity and integration of its healthcare ecosystem amid rising global interest in holistic, destination-based medical care.

Issam Kazim, CEO of Dubai Healthcare City Authority, commented:

“The level of expansion we are witnessing is a clear signal of partner confidence in the foundations of DHCC. When a third of your partners expand their operations, it speaks to sustained demand and long-term commitment. This momentum is now translating into real progress across both Phase 1 and Phase 2, setting the stage for a new era of investment-led, innovation-driven growth.”

Major Development Projects Underway

As part of a recently launched AED 1.3 billion development plan, Dubai Healthcare City is advancing its first-phase infrastructure with the launch of two integrated complexes:

  • The first complex, spanning 21,110 square meters, will provide fully integrated residential facilities tailored for healthcare professionals and residents.

  • The second complex, covering 15,150 square meters, will serve as a hub for healthcare and commercial activity, and includes several newly announced strategic projects.

Rapid Progress in Phase 2

Meanwhile, Phase 2 of Dubai Healthcare City’s expansion is gaining strong momentum. To date, 58% of the masterplan’s projects have been confirmed, representing investments worth approximately AED 5.4 billion. As of January 2026, 80% of Phase 2’s infrastructure work has been completed, reflecting a fast-paced execution and robust demand for comprehensive developments that blend healthcare, residential, education, and mixed-use facilities.

A Promising Future for Healthcare in Dubai

These achievements position Dubai Healthcare City as more than just a medical zone — it is a fully integrated urban ecosystem driving the future of healthcare in the region. With ongoing strategic developments, rising investor interest, and a rapidly expanding network of services, DHCC continues to play a central role in shaping Dubai’s future as a global healthcare destination.
