The programme reflects the library’s vision of promoting culture, spreading knowledge and encouraging creativity through a variety of activities aimed at children, young people, families, literature lovers, art enthusiasts and those interested in modern technologies. These events also contribute to strengthening family bonds and enriching the cultural scene in the UAE.
In Your Words, the Flame Tree Blooms
As part of its community and environmental initiatives, Mohammed Bin Rashid Library is launching an interactive campaign titled “In Your Words, the Flame Tree Blooms,” in conjunction with the Flame Tree season and in line with efforts to promote environmental awareness and community participation.
The campaign invites children, parents, library staff and visitors to share positive messages related to society and the environment. Through this initiative, the library seeks to promote the values of responsibility and belonging, turning words into a simple yet meaningful form of engagement and inspiration.
Artificial Intelligence Made Simple
In line with its commitment to keeping pace with technological developments, the library is organising a knowledge session titled “Artificial Intelligence… Simply Explained,” as part of the Business Library events. Supporting Children and Building Confidence
The library’s programme also includes a session titled “Rebuilding Confidence and Psychological Resilience,” held as part of the “Year of the Family” activities. The session focuses on supporting children and helping them build self-confidence through discussions around identity, inner balance and psychological resilience.
It highlights the importance of developing a child’s personality from within and strengthening their ability to deal with challenges, contributing to greater psychological and social stability within the family.
A Theatre Acting Workshop
On the artistic side, Mohammed Bin Rashid Library is hosting a specialised theatre acting workshop for beginners, in collaboration with Dubai National Theatre and a group of Emirati artists.
The workshop introduces participants to the fundamentals of stage performance, voice and body expression techniques, as well as character-building skills. It aims to refine young artistic talents and create new opportunities for those interested in performing arts.
Celebrating World Music Day
To mark World Music Day, which falls on 21 June, the library is organising an artistic event that celebrates music as a universal language of creativity and human connection.
The event gives talents of all ages the opportunity to take part in an open interactive experience by bringing their musical instruments and performing in front of an audience. It will also feature live performances on the violin, guitar and piano, presented by a number of talented participants in an atmosphere that celebrates the beauty of music and its ability to embrace creativity.
