The General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai has confirmed that a single-entry tourist visa, valid for a period ranging from 30 to 60 days, is expected to be issued within 48 working hours, once all required documents and conditions are completed.
This step reflects Dubai’s commitment to making the visitor journey easier and speeding up entry procedures, in line with the emirate’s position as a leading global tourist destination that welcomes travelers from around the world throughout the year.
The authority explained, through a digital post on Instagram, that applications for tourist visas can be submitted through approved tourism offices. These offices handle the process through clear and simplified procedures, giving travelers a more flexible and smooth experience before arriving in Dubai.
The requirements for obtaining the visa include submitting a personal photo, a copy of a valid passport, and, for some nationalities, an identity card issued by the applicant’s country of origin, according to the approved procedures. Once all required documents are completed, the application is processed within a short period.
This service comes as part of Dubai’s ongoing efforts to develop digital services and simplify travel and tourism-related procedures, helping improve the visitor experience from the moment the application is submitted until arrival in the emirate.
The fast issuance of tourist visas also supports the tourism and travel sector by offering easier options for those wishing to visit Dubai, whether for holidays, attending events, or enjoying the facilities and tourist attractions for which the emirate is widely known.
Several employees at approved tourism offices confirmed that tourist visa applications for Dubai are completed in record time when all requirements are fulfilled. They noted that some visitors receive approval within only a few hours, and in certain cases, the visa may be issued within two or three hours.
